No one argues that the NFL doesn't have the best talent and makes the most money. The NFL isn't innovative, it's all about systems and execution and you can literally call the plays from the time on the clock and from what the down and yardage is. The CFL by virtue of having only 3 downs plus the bigger field mandates more creativity and less game managing by coaches.

Considering many of their coaches break their teeth in the college game, then no it isn't. However, Dallas just scored by passing the ball from inside the 10 yard line where everyone would think they would pass. That pretty much debunks the rest of your argument.

The NHL isn't innovative neither. Even new rules are tried in other leagues beforehand.
