You got to learn to take criticism better.

I’m trying to help.

- bloatedmosquito

No you are not. A few weeks ago you were trolling me about past PM's that were years old. Today and yesterday you engage with me and admit you didn't even read the discussion you were criticizing me over. That's just someone trying to help is it?

Do you think Lu and Kes were cancers? I think they became cancers when the team started to lose direction. Must have been frustrating as hell to be so close and then start to see it all fall apart just a few seasons later.

Sure Lu and Kes could have handled the situation better but canuck management also (frank)ed things up good.

I think getting rid of Bieksa had a bigger effect on the locker room than Lu or Kes.

I'm worried about the twins getting extended...

- bloatedmosquito

After a certain point yes. The Lou stuff was one thing but really after Kesler got caught badmouthing the team at the Olympics then denying demanding a trade it does cause rifts in the room to be sure. The worst was when he publically stated he didn't want to be part of a 'rebuild' or 'retool' here in Van. Here we have a guy who was given every opportunity to succeed by his draft team and when they need him most he bails...classless. That's why I have a mountain more respect for the Sedins for sticking around and trying to make things better. They could have bailed as well.

Ya losing Bieksa I agree sucked for the room but it was time for him to move on. You could tell by his country club play here in Van he just wasn't into it here anymore.

Whos (frank)ing idea was it to make Lu captain? What a monumental blunder. Talk about distractions...
- bloatedmosquito

And don't forget those who called people "Wendy Whiners" for criticizing it back then. What was their deal?

Just a lot of childish drivel back and forth the other day, and a lot of days if we're being honest. Today is hockey talk, I enjoy that, I'm old and don't have a lot of patience I guess.

Long time lurker first time poster

Just wanted to say Carol you're doing an incredible job at this. I used to jump around between different writers to get my canucks news. Now I just look at your blog and I'm done for the day. You cover all bases so well and very quickly too.

Keep it up!

in what way and why? It didnt say much about your view there

I think Bieksa was the true "heart" of this team for years. Especially during the AV years. He was the voice for the team and at times even challenge the coaching staff and some players privately or publicly to make his opinion known.

Didn't he punch out Fedor for being a wiener? That's leadership. Take that out of the room... the room changes.

Just seeing if you were around. I know you are an avid back reader so I knew it wouldn't be missed.

I'm still calling you out when you start accusing people of having agendas when they are just firing out thoughts or trying to drive conversation.

Nothing personal... just business.

- bloatedmosquito

You are confused or have a short term memory if you don't think Bullfrog has an agenda. This is the same genius that said Edler was the worst player on the team and we would be better off with a waiver pickup last year.

Well said. Kesler was always a selfish wiener but obviously you get away with that more in your 20's than later in your career. The leadership group you belong to expects you to lead by example. There was a divide between the Sedin lead core and Kesler. I think Bieksa stayed loyal to the team's core out of duty but you can see that he welcomed following his best friend to Anaheim.

Punching out a team mate in public for being a wiener is leadership? That is Bieksa's ego all the way...
