Tell us what it feels like since you've done it a half dozen times recently and we still have never picked 1st. Probably feels good after 10 years of fighting the Leafs for last place.

Feels good actually. Even better than watching you guys choke in the final |

I would like to see Megna sit for sure.
I think Skille has been pretty good as of late.
I think Chaput provides more grit than almost anyone on the team right now.
I think Gaunce plays lazy. Is it just me or does he seem like he doesn't give it 100% EVER. He always seems to be in the mix on the forecheck and backcheck but he just seems to be going at 75% all the time (might just be me).
I would be sitting Megna and Gaunce for Rodin and Boucher. - Codes1087
You guys have hit dangerous territory. After listening to WD those guys are roster fixtures. Only injury will get them out. Or maybe vet Hansen. As WD said he won't think of Boucher at all. He's got to figure out Rodin first. Which may take all season cause he can question his knee not being 100%.
You know what's the worst thing to do to a guy's' confidence coming back from a long term injury. Tell him he doesn't look 100%. That extra gear and comfort comes from confidence. So the mind games amd resistence to change will continue. JB clued us all in recent interview. The coach is comfortable playing the guys he knows. You all saw and heard his interview last night how resistent to changing the PP or plays or lines with players he knows. New guys mid season. That seems beyond his comfort zone. |

I'm pretty sure we barely got in by beating you guys. Not like we were presidents cup winners that year. |

So the usual, "your team sucks more than ours" argument turns into, "we were worse than you but still did better"... |

Hey Codes,
Glad you asked.
Matt Duchene for Ben Hutton and a third. Discuss. - Codes1087
nice pivot. Cool trade. Like the value. Of course, there is the expansion draft reality that add repercussions to asset management. Hutton is Vegas exempt so that works for them. Then follow up with trades for exposed forwards Hansen and Granlund so Vegas doesn't take one of them. Plus Sbisa after that since he will still be exposed. |

Valk and Grenier and Archibald have done more than Virtanen.... - Codes1087
I've watched a few Utica games and Virtanen is looking really good. He's getting a lot of chances but there's been a lot of unluckiness (hitting posts, feeding others and then getting robbed) - point is, his stats don't tell the true tale of how he's performing.
He's hitting again, showing great hands, driving the net with speed and taking lots of shots. I truly think his shoulder was messed up at the beginning of the season and deterred him from playing with confidence.
He should finish out the year in the A and hopefully come in next year with fire. |

I am starting to wonder.. IF Canucks left Sutter/Eriksson unprotected, would they even get claimed with their $ tag? - Codes1087
Cant do it with Loui (NMC), but Sutter is a curious one. Some here are fans of what he brings, though his cap hit isnt great. He has all the intangibles you want, but takes a beating from the analytics crowd, so its tough to say the direction Vegas would go, but I still think he gets claimed, $4.37 per season isnt terrible and takes him through his prime. |

Good to hear. Green seemed to be saying this too. Though if he's showing this improvement you would think the Canucks who are power forward less could use him this season? Especially, if they actually hang on to the bubble and somehow make the playoff push a reality. |

Thanks for the update. I've been wanting an eyes on report from fans on how he looks aside from the drought he's in right now. Good to hear he's playing physical.

They are taking a long term approach to JV I think so unless there is an emergency...
