Normal teams do that. Teams don't normally have a ton of prospects to trade or players they don't want so they get rid of without creating a hole. Trading a piece means we open up a whole, but we need to have the pieces to replace it like normal teams do. If you trade a Kane you need to have Nylander or Bailey pick up the slack. If you trade Girgensons you need Larsson to take that role. If you trade Ennis you need Baptitste to play there. Time might not be right now, due to injuries and readiness but that's how you have to do it. Have to sell high on these players because you know you have pieces to replace them.

I don't think he's screwed up anything at all. The only people that think he needs to get fired are the people expecting a Stanley Cup this year.
