You don't trade Tanev. Too hard to replace. Still young.

I'd be ok with moving Hansen. Only because of the expansion draft and Granlunds emergence.

Where is Biff? I gots me lunch money burning a hole in my pocket.

- storm88

i'd probably move Tanev for the right deal (Defense is surprisingly a position of strength for the franchise at the moment), but i'm happy to keep him as well.

I don't buy the injury prone argument at all. I think all players go through peaks and valleys.

I also like the argument of moving Hansen and protecting Sven and Granlund. Time to move out aging assets and develop the youth. Hansen is on a sweetheart deal and could have real value in a trade.

Since the Sedins made the NHL as 20-year-olds from Ornskoldsvik, Sweden, in 2000, just five players have amassed more points and only San Jose Shark Joe Thornton has set up more goals than Henrik, whose assist against the Devils was his 767th.

Here’s a look at the top 10 NHL scorers during the nearly 16 seasons that the twins have played in Vancouver:
1: Joe Thornton: 1,193 gp: 337 goals-922 assists-1,259 points
2: Jarome Iginla: 1,204 gp: 525-563-1,088
3: Marian Hossa: 1,131 gp: 471-556-1,027
4: Martin St. Louis: 1,065 gp: 387-626-1,013
5: Alex Ovechkin: 882 gp: 546-457-1,003
6: Henrik Sedin: 1,211 gp: 231-767-998
7: Sidney Crosby: 743 gp: 364-620-984
8: Daniel Sedin: 1,188 gp: 366-601-967
9: Patrick Marleau: 1,218 gp: 442-496-938
10: Jaromir Jagr: 949 gp: 370-567-937

Yet no one gives Benning any credit for him. When he has a bad game, Tryamkin is a bust. When he is a difference maker, he is a gimmick.

I think he is very much part of the future here and Benning should get a credit

- Beatle_john

you might be listening to the wrong people..

I have yet to hear anyone say Tryamkin was a poor pick or a bust. maybe I'm not listening or haven't been reading carefully enough on hb.

I believe most Canuck posters are rooting for him and happy with his development. he is like found money.

yeah, that really adds to the level of discourse in here...

not sure why people feel the need to go negative on everyone all the time... it gets pretty tiring and doesn't really encourage new blood to post...

Nice work Tryamkin!

yes he has true hockey smarts, the kind that just cant be taught. He is a true born defenseman.

What was even better is how he did the wicked stretch pass and then drove straight to the net. This guy is good and can be our franchise D man.

I think he will be the number one in a couple of years. 22 years old? Nice
- VANTEL

agreed. The most exciting D man I've seen put on our jersey in a while with probably the highest ceiling too

Ya I've never really been a fan of Miller but I will admit he has been playing awesome of late. I thought Marky would step up when Miller was injured but even then he looked shaky and unconfident. Sucks but I don't think we have much of a choice but to keep Miller here next year as I don't think Markstrom is ever gonna be 'our guy'.

Unless they can get a good haul for Miller at TDL...but unlikely.

- LordHumungous

agreed that miller will be here next year.
I think markstrom did look like OUR guy last season and early this season....never know if he's having trouble with marriage or death in family etc lately. Or just the lack of game play keeping him rusty. He hasnt played much

What I like the most is he's proved WD & JB both wrong on the AHL, decided to do it his way and succeeded big time. Good on him!

I think Tryamkin is one of the only players on the team I haven't heard anything negative about since his first couple games this year

pull a strahan/favre type of deal?
- bloatedmosquito

well Im sure Lou would want to be ther when he buddy henrik gets the milestone. Teams know about it and allow players their moment. Like gordie howe stepping on
the ice for a game post retirement and scoring on a harmless 1st shot.

Yep, I'm singing Tryamkin's praises..plus breaking down Reid Boucher's Canucks debut and feeling sorry for a nauseous Troy Stecher, in the new blog:

it was 'why be in ahl making 70k in a strange country when can be making millions in khl in home country living like a king'

Cant blame him at all.

Nice that he's loving it here to top it off

Is it just the way he plays?

Often taking the hit to make the play. I think this is where someone usually says "he is nuts to not bail before the hit". or if he does bail, he takes the flack for not making the play

Tanev, Gudbranson, Tryamkin or Stecher. Who is more expendable to the club or helps us bring in a scoring fwd? (we may be e a little deeper on the right side than left but I guess Tryamkin can play both sides)

Guessing we wont see a move until the summer unless we nose dive before tdl.

- hillbillydeluxe

Tanev for the right deal...
Trade Marky by the TDL & resign Miller 2-3yrs

Both to the Av's in a package for Duchesne makes me happy😂😂

The fickles r quick to jump on JB over not much.
Posers don't like how he comes off in pressers.
The guy is smart & doesn't force trades similar to Ken Holland.
