The one and I think only time they draft and properly develop a goaltender, they trade him away, lol, (frank)in dysfunctional (frank) show....but they lucked out with Horvat. Thankfully!!

That was another regime ago...
Original owners for us were a gong show to begin our history.
We can talk about the past anytime lol

SJ beat LAK 3-2....

Now....no, Schneider is 30 years old. It's gonna be five years before the Canucks are any good. Horvat will be in his prime, Schneider will be almost done.
- LeftCoaster

I think it was a good trade by MG, and really was his only move after the new CBA made Lu's contract much worse than it originally was.

Schneids mired on a team going nowhere prolly til he retires.

He backed himself into a corner but it turned out ok for him, luckily.

For value...
Lundqvist for 4yrs/$8.35m
Schneider 5yrs/$6m

Comes down to who is on which team in the end.
Schneider looks good on any quality team.

It did change things. Only one around from that era while other teams that did those are off the hook now like Kings and Devils.

Just no one saw that Lu would be gone too after that trade. Remember back then if they could move Lu the return was Guddy. Funny that. We'd have Shnieds with Mcann and Guddy all this time but no Bo.

PL will be activated and take over in 4 games from Biega who will Vegas qualify. Pedan is up who can play forward too in case there is an emergency. They are standing pat. WD is rolling with this group and only more injuries to starters will force call ups.

No wonder he thinks WD is such a poopty coach!

He can't get it done with 2 of the top 3 players in the world.

- golfingsince

no its cause hes a crappy coach

Never once have I EVER said we needed the top 2 players and thats the reason he sucks. Always putting words in my mouth aren't you

Jagr went 5th, Primeau went 3rd.

With linden, 8,9 and 10 were Roenick, Brindamour, Selanne.

- golfingsince

we dont need a D man. Some posters have been saying grenier has been not so great. JV sounds like he's just starting to get going a bit, let that continue.

While I dont really think Subban is in the teams plans the reason Id call him up is as a versatile extra. Ive said before he plays like a winger. So if a D goes down he can fill in but if a winger goes down he can also fill in there too. Sounds like pretty good insurance

The notion/argument that O.J 'does not possess much offensive ' is quite odd considering even his basic underlying numbers.

89 total OHL games, 70 points for a ppg of 0.79 overall.
He's currently on a 0.88 ppg this year alone, not to mention his memorial cup and WJC play.

I was watching Robert Thompson highlights the other night and OJ was making him look like a star. Blind cross ice passes and I mean hard flat laser passes while staring the goalie down.

Sometimes you've just gotta let things slide lol, I left that one alone as it was definitely low hanging fruit.

Why not just use one of the many extra wingers laying around... and use one of the better D men???

Preseason is over.

Jake has 1 point in the last two or more weeks. Not going anywhere quick.

Carol brought it up in the blog. Stetcher played as sick as he was even though Pedan is there. He could barley play but that was better then using an AHL call up. Unless there is no choice WD is sticking with his guys. I guess Megna couldn't get out of bed over Stecher vomiting and barely skating.

Only expect post all star break for PL to take over from Biega. Who will be probably shut down or held back for Vegas insurance. It's do or die time until the TDL and these are the guys that need to get it done.

Running with the status quo roster works for me.
Its good test leading up to the TDL to assess if anyone gets moved.
