Is he double shifting?
If i read u right u think i believe Hank is 1C in perpetuity.
Not the case at all.

Bo Sutter Granlund . That is the weakest it can be , build on that.

You have 7 Dmen and only 6 can play at a time. Trade one.

So many ways to find a number 3 center

BTW When Hank leaves you will probably get a top 3 draft pick for a year or two . Draft one

Move on when someone is better.
That is nobody atm.
If at the end of their contracts someone is then no probs.
Now for starters who is replacing Hank?
Cassels? UFA?

- Nighthawk

Changing the culture of the team, it's time for that. Even if the twins were on the 3rd line it would still be their team and dressing room. Don't you think it may be time to get away from this?

Top Dmen of the 2016 draft class at the midway mark.

#5 - Juolevi. OHL - 8 goals - 28 pts in 32 gp.
#9 - Sergachev. OHL - 4 goals - 21 pts in 24gp.
#13 - Bean. WHL - 3 goals - 18 pts in 15gp.
#14 - McAvoy. NCAA - 3 goals - 14pts in 20gp.
#16 - Chychrun. NHL - 2 goals, 8 pts in 35gp.

Though its impossible to compare offensive totals among differing leagues and levels, OJ stacks up nicely against the best of em. (Coming from a guy who wanted Tkachuk and wasn't even sure we picked the best D at the 5 spot).

I think Horvat replaces Hank until we get it right in the draft. It will be middle six by committee. We may need a stop gap but wouldn't have to sign/trade for a Hank replacement the way Horvat is developing. Horvat does buy us some time.
- boonerbuck

Who is this stop gap at what price or who is traded?
UFA's look sad other than Tavares.

Exactly.

I don't get why people are afraid to move on from a PP that scores 1 out of 20 attempts.

A top 6 that gets now 2 shots a night and gets a point every three games.

No hits and are getting more and more penalties.

They are given all the offensive starts and most of the PP . You will never move on or get better if you keep doing the same thing time after time.

As for culture idk what u mean by that.

The PP is a whole other matter.

The only way this truly can ever be BO's or ? team will be when the Sedin's have moved on. Then it gets a new identity.

This is what I have been saying all along. It's stop gapping and treading water until the twins are gone. Probably get a couple of high picks after. When a drafted C makes the team, Horvat will be entering his prime and we are in business. Patience. We are handcuffed for another season...oh well. That was done to us a long time ago. I'd female dog about it if MG was still here... but he's not.

If we don't get a top 6 C in the draft the next couple of years, I agree, we'll have the other assets to trade for one.

What is wrong with drafting high for 2-3 years. We are in limbo with the Twins . We are getting worse at a molasses pace.

Rip that band aid off man .

Now u claim no Sedins guarantees drafting high for 2-3 yrs.
Make up your mind. So lets farm them out to retirement.
Result is guaranteed replacements after 2-3 years of drafting.
C's grow on trees....

Agreeeeeeeed.

I remember the 2015 draft when Benning selected Boeser, i think my exact words were,

"ahhh ffs Benning, wtf are you doing, who the f#% is this bum" lol.

It's becoming quite nice to be proven wrong time and again by this management group.
Next up, E.G and Virtanen.....I hope.
