So you have the clear sides on Rangers twitter, the Hank side and the Girardi and the D side, both sides have sucked this season, Hank can't bail out the D and the D can't bail out Hank yet each side makes this ridiculous case that it's not only been this way for 2016-17 but for entire careers which is useless to debate and 100% wrong for each side, Hank has had a hall of fame career, there's not one argument that has legs to say otherwise and as for Girardi and Staal exclusively they've had brilliant Rangers careers, all the years shutting down Ovi and the like in the playoffs wasn't Hank just making save after save it the D limiting stars chances, shutting teams down.

Its nice to hope that AV won't play the horrible duo of 27+5 but its his heroin. Girardi was decent earlier this season playing third pair minutes and getting a day off. It was at least effective. - jnyfive
Girardi has not been the main problem on D. Klein and McD have made the most mistakes lately. Other than the Holden "whoopsie-daisy" last game, McD was on the ice and made the gaff that cost them a goal against.
Every D-man has been sub-par. Watching the games, McD has been the worst of them all. Watch the goals against and you will see who made the turnover, who effed up the coverage, who was late to cover his guy, who had yet another puck go off him and into the net while he tries to poke check a guy out of the crease. Far too much for someone being the Rangers best D-man; and virtually never gets the criticism others get.
Watch Trainspotting. It stopped me from ever trying it - mdw7413
when I was in the hospital years back after surgery they used to give me demerol every 4 hours. I don't know if heroin is anything like that, but I tell you, demerol was fantastic

What sides do we have here? Let's have a draft.
Captains are Dundee and ?
whichever side you are on you have to make the argument against the other side, whether you believe it or not.
Maybe by the time we are done the Rangers will have turned things around.

I still remember when Torts was coach in the playoffs and McDonagh took a delay of game penalty from shooting the puck out of play by mistake. It may have cost us the game.
And Torts said "I don't know how I can even be mad at him for making that mistake considering how he's plays every shift besides that one"
McDonagh's, like Lundqvist's, consistent elite play in the past has bought them both some slack, at least from me, before I start criticizing them for a bad stretch.

this theory that Girardi is "AV's heroin" makes me want to go to heroin - jimbro83
I guess High School High wasn't loved as much as I love it, because I can't even find the video clip of Jon Lovitz slapping his arm and saying "LOAD ME UP A SPIKE"
Might be another 5-4 type game tonight. Toronto will let in a bunch vs NYR, but if Hank isnt sharp, they are more than capable of running up their score themselves.
That being said, unless NYR offense dries up, you guys should be able to outscore TOR tonight.
Put me down for Ulf Samuelsson, he was so dirty in his Pittsburgh days I couldnt root for him.
I was actually happy when Tie Domi knocked him out.

Ulfie played hard every shift. I saw him dive face-first to block a shot while his team was up 7-0 in the third period. Granted he was on the Wings at the time, but it was one of his first games with them after the Rangers traded him.
