Please, he used to lockdown Ovechkin. I don't mind the current Girardi criticism, because it is for the most part true, but I hate the revisionist history.

Not saying he would've been terrible in the past, but he's just too slow for today's NHL. A combination of the NHL being as fast as ever now and his foot speed getting worse. |

It makes me sick to be honest. The guy was a warrior for years, playing huge playoff minutes against Ovechkin, Malkin, Crosby, etc. You can think he stinks now, but at least give him his due.
