Didn't we yesterday, during drunk GM day where it was time to package all of our D prospects for blah blah blah and someone to finally hit the net we traded all four guys away in one form or another...?

10 game streak in the rearview now looking up at teams with games in hand UGH.

Will be a telling FEB for us...Anything less then 7-3-1 over 11 games could have us moving things at deadline...

I like Hextall's patience, but, it's disappointing that Giroux, Voracek and Simmonds are in their prime and it's being wasted. There's a lot of holes after them and you can't really address it in today's NHL, unless you do it (trade) in the summer.

Great blog Bill, thank you. In your opinion, would you say Hagg gets a couple of games up with the Flyers this season at all?

One issue I dont really see people talking about is how this team is going to bring up all these D prospects. You have Sanheim, Morin, and Hagg who are all close. With Myers not far off. Surely they can't have 2 rookie Defensemen next year can they?

Just seems like now that Provorov is playing well maybe they should think about getting Sanheim or Mrins feet wet. To stagger when they bring the other rookies Ds up.

Not entirely sure what they're seeing with Hagg tbh. I mean he's been better than last year, but he still very much looks like a young AHL d man prone to some mental mistakes and passivity (though he is showing his strength more along the boards) and without any real showcasing of what he does well. Maybe they're pumping him up for some reason, because I don't see the NHL readiness. He looks no different than Willcox to me. Worse in some areas even, like gaps and whatnot *shrug*

Rubtsov has looked really really good in his first Q game through 2. If the only viewing you've had is that 12th forward/PK safe play in the WJC, you don't have a grasp on him at all. Playing way more skilled and aggressive, but still smart 2-way albeit at LW
