That wasn't some super dirty hit by any means, just a penalty, but I absolutely loath Emelin. One of the dirtiest players in the league. |

For as many good things Risto does for this team sometimes me makes me want to pull my hair out... |

I have no idea the overall quality of the Montreal, but it's evident just how difficult it is to generate offense in the NHL now.
I believe it's due to a combination of almost every team playing a similar defensive system where all the players collapse into their own zone and around the net, and players having very little free space to maneuver.
It's far from exciting to watch. |

Yes, it is quite a boring game. Hardly any odd man rushes for either team. It seems like the coaches all graduated from the same school of coaching.

I know he played well for a small stretch but I really hate Foligno right now. He just ruins Jack's game every time he's on the ice.. No skill and a dufus on skates who keeps over skating everything |

That penalty is a result of Lehner's awful control of rebounds.
He keeps that puck or kicks it in the corner, Falk doesn't have to slash his guy, but Lehner let's it bounce in front of him |

Foligno has been horrid all game, handling the puck like a hand grenade. |

The second period shots were 19 - 9 for Montreal. Sure didn't feel like they had a lot of shots or controlled the play. Most were from the outside I guess. |

Foligno is not good enough to play with Jack Eichel. |

It's going to take a mentality shift from him to realize he needs to help the team more than just stopping the puck, i.e. freezing it often too.
It feels like 90% of this game has been played along the boards or on dump out passes.
The NHL can't really think many people find this entertaining, right? |

I think the NHL should permanently be 4 on 4.
The talent would be less diluted, more open ice.
More strategy involved, whether to play 1 or 2 D. |

Don't know who just saw that but straight class from that Habs fan for getting that puck from jack to the young sabres fan. Bravo! |

No crap. For some reason our top tier professional hockey coach can't figure that out. It's like he doesn't want to win. |

I don't think that's necessary.
Going to a strict, zero tolerance policy regarding interference and penalties will have the speed coming back to the game. |
