Even if Letang were better than Risto (which I don't believe), Letang at 50 games per year is not equivalent to Risto at 75.

Its easy with him. Ask him if he wants a shot. If not, keep him. If he does, find a partner. I'm sure he's lined up for a job here post retirement so they wont move him without his blessing.

I understand the advanced stats and the role they play, but I must admit that watching the game was a hell of a lot more fun years ago when we weren't micromanaging every little part and parcel of a players game at every minute during every game.

It's taken the joy out of the game a bit for me when watching.

It also feels like there are teams that rely on possession to such a degree that they play hockey like it is soccer, and that is disconcerting from an entertainment standpoint (sorry 365).

I watch hockey to be entertained. Pouring through all the advanced stats just makes me feel like I'm at work. I stare at enough spreadsheets/charts/tables all day there. Don't need to do it for something that I consider entertainment.

The basic stats are plenty for me. If it's not on the general "Stats" lists on NHL.com, I honestly don't give a crap.

In his heyday it didnt matter who was in "the lead", the score to beat was always wherever he was at... That WAS the "lead".
I for one would love the tiger show to actually begin in earnest again.
