You're reaching. Hard. - Khmylev
I agree. Put Risto on the penguins and I think we are all agreeing on how great he is. |

Yes, but I might hesitate because Risto is much more durable.
But there isn't a debate as to who's better, really - sbroads24
Even if Letang were better than Risto (which I don't believe), Letang at 50 games per year is not equivalent to Risto at 75. |

It was reverse with Tyler Myers, an unarguably worse defenseman. - TheSabresTaco
You are talking about him as if he's a victim of circumstances. He is one of the main cogs. He is the circumstance. He can dictate them. He's the #1 d playing half the game |

I admit I'm slightly intrigued by his PK abilities, something we need quite badly. - TheSabresTaco

Gionta wants to finish the job in Buffalo, during trade talks....

Trade him! lol - Lilroot9
Quality player....regardless of whether he is traded, GMTM should bring him back on a 1 or 2 year deal at a minimal cap hit |

Its easy with him. Ask him if he wants a shot. If not, keep him. If he does, find a partner. I'm sure he's lined up for a job here post retirement so they wont move him without his blessing. |

He should trade him and then bring him back, but by the we might have a new captain.
He has a no trade, so he will have to agree to it anyway. |

Ristolainen would be top 3 in defensemen in the Metro division. Might be the best |

I understand the advanced stats and the role they play, but I must admit that watching the game was a hell of a lot more fun years ago when we weren't micromanaging every little part and parcel of a players game at every minute during every game.
It's taken the joy out of the game a bit for me when watching.
It also feels like there are teams that rely on possession to such a degree that they play hockey like it is soccer, and that is disconcerting from an entertainment standpoint (sorry 365). |

I don't disagree. It's fun for me to look at them. But I can see why people hate them. I hated them a few years ago.

I watch hockey to be entertained. Pouring through all the advanced stats just makes me feel like I'm at work. I stare at enough spreadsheets/charts/tables all day there. Don't need to do it for something that I consider entertainment.
The basic stats are plenty for me. If it's not on the general "Stats" lists on NHL.com, I honestly don't give a crap. |

Yes he will, the Tiger show begins in earnest this week. I'm glad somebody got that. - mhp
hopefully he still moves the needle.
In his heyday it didnt matter who was in "the lead", the score to beat was always wherever he was at... That WAS the "lead".
I for one would love the tiger show to actually begin in earnest again.

We don't know yet, but we should consider trading him for a 30 year old who's had a stroke and a history of bloodclots |
