I love it when the pundits are wrong. As much as I typically despise all of you I enjoy watching your team make bumholes like Maguire and Dreger eat their own feces. - TheTaoOfSemenko

I love having this inventory of D. - VanHockeyGuy
I keep thinking the team has to sh1t or get off the pot and make some decisions.
Pedan should have been given a better opportunity/actual nhl game time beyond the call ups and practicing with the team.
But yeah, we are in a good spot for the present, and it it goes back to draft, develop and make some decisions on who stays and who goes. rinse, repeat. |

agreed!
But things are going to start getting a lot tougher. After Chicago it's Arizona/Colorado.
But then we'll see what this team is made of. Hopefully Miller can keep it up! |

This team has showed tremendous resolve to overcome adversity so I expect them to continue to scratch and claw out points. |

Tough spot to be in, hoping we get in or the floor totally falls out. |

We need the floor to totally fall out, it's the only way this owner will accept reality. |

on a side note:
Let's get a show of hands. At the start of the season - How many of you thought teams would be calling the Canucks because of their surplus of Dmen.
Plenty more prospects as well. |

He can lay out some big hits but he is an adventure - VANTEL
"Pedan started off this season in Utica, where he has struggled to find the scoresheet. However, Pedan sits second amongst Comets defenders with a 53.57% Goals For percentage and an impressive 15.48% Goals For percentage relative to his teammates which leads all Comets defenders. He is by far the Canucks most NHL-ready blueliner and was fully deserving of being called up to the big club."

I guess JB has to decide if he wants to keep WD or Pedan.
could Pedan be the 7th dman next season? If he is here at training camp, would he clear waivers? if it is predicted he would, is it even worth keeping him around?
are there any other clubs interested in him this season? does he have any value?
as per the adventure stuff, not too many guys go from ahl to nhl without making any mistakes along the way. but the decision is whether it is worth the mistakes to see if it will work out?
Our d has been a bit of a bright spot, we haven't fallen apart when we saw injuries.

See if his play picks up when he is down in Utica and hits the score sheet a bit more. Utica is rolling right now.
Sadly the only time we find out whether a player can or cannot play in the NHL is when WD is forced to because of injuries. Pedan too far down the depth chart to get enough chances. |
