yeah i can't see that either.. but if they don't make some trades they may have to expose him.. and if he is exposed i think he is the easy pick |

if you move someone like carrier or ennis up front and ullmark id just protect girgs. you'd be forcing Vegas to choose between ahl scrubs and really bad nhl contracts which is kind of what you want |

i could see them taking moulson or bogo if they need the cap hits and someone who can somewhat play in the NHL |

For as badly as he played through the end of December, Gigensons' play has been pretty darn good for the last few weeks. More of Gionta's underappreciated value, in my opinion. The improved play started at around the same time Larsson went down and Girgs got the 3c spot. |

Considerable growth from last year, still under 23 (so is young), yeah I'd hate to lose him to expansion at this point. He's not the top6 forward and future captain of a couple years ago, but I think it was sbroads who said it:
9 28 12 is turning into a great 3rd line. |

I don't see them taking Moulson at all and the Sabres exposing a defenseman they are leaning on 30 mins a game now, which is not easy to do. I see Moulson being exposed, not taken, Foligno exposed and taken. He has to be re-signed, is slower, they want to get faster, the Sabres have an abundance of younger, more skilled forwards, and some with size. |

The only reason they are leaning on him is because they are short a few d-men in general and mccabe is hurt. It's not a tough pill to swallow because they should be looking to move on and upgrade from him anyways regardless of expansion.
I don't know how they feel about Foligno going forward but if there are enough spots open they may just protect him to...or perhaps move him before the draft depending on his value. |

foligino would be a solid pick up for them.. i think we have to make some moves. because one of foligno, girgs or larsson is probably going to be exposed if we don't |

Not sure if it remains that way, but a year or two ago, wasn't there talk that GMTM said Foligno was completely untouchable? He's only been better since then IMO (though not now being on Eichel's line, that's just ridiculous coaching). |

Yes, that's why I said now, but he's able to do it and the Sabres are winning some games while he is doing it. You hate the guy I know, but he is better than you perceive and they won't just give him away. |
