I agree and disagree. The coaching staff definitely has them playing better hockey than a lot of people thought them capable of, myself included, but man, I could do without the dump and chase.

I don't mind Willie here for the one more year. He has a familiar bunch of players that play a certain style. When contracts run out and players move on then I think it would be a good idea to change the coach.

I don't want to see a new coach try to come in next year and try to change things and the country club boys tell him No Thanks

Wait a year

And it won't change until then, it's been a long road but in 3 more years this team will look completely different.

Or more. I would be interested to see how he handled more talent. I think his tenure here will be pretty limited though.

His more talent next year should be Boeser and whomever we trade for this year .

I think in a few weeks we will start to see some kind of formation at TDL.

That is where I think we will see the first addition to the forwards top 6

Yes he is. Some posters just get excited because of the name Subban. He is not a good prospect.
- CanuckDon

I don't think he could be anything more than a 5/6/7 defenseman at best, but there is the fact that he's going to the AHL all star game. That said, Shink went last year

That's a good time to overpay, so if we're active I hope it's as a seller.

All the rumors over the last few months were Tanev for Landeskog . What are your thoughts on a guy like JVR or Kadri .

Yes but its a recovery year after his injury
- Nighthawk

Last year was his recovery year. He can barely keep his head above water in the AHL. Demko may out score him this year

I really hope WD is the coach next year , gotta give him credit for taking a team full of 3rd line talent as far as he has. It's obvious his strategies are paying dividends, good for him.

And what Lidster has done with a bunch of 4,5,6,7,8 caliber defense-men is pretty commendable.

Unsung heroes those two, hope they don't deviate from their plans going forward

John Scott went to the NHL Allstar game last year.

Neither is worth losing Tanev, if that's what you mean. JVR close but I think we could do better making a bigger deal for a high scoring winger whos maybe a year or two younger

JVR is considerably worse. Same offense really, but JVR is trash defensively if you ask TML fans. Also his age and contract are not what we need. he is a UFA soon.

D are too important. especially ones like Tanev. Can't imagine they would even consider trading him.
