Yeah, they in most, have done well growing. I don't think Sven is a second line forward but he is holding his own. He did have a bad game last night. All in all they are doing okay. - VANTEL
Ya, I go back and forth on Sven. Sometimes he looks great but still struggles with consistency. To his credit, he has been going to the front of the net a bunch. |

I meant that in a negative way. What Benning and Green have said about his play in the defensive zone is so apparent that even non-hockey people can see it. He is very very weak in his own end. - Codes1087
I have watched a bunch of comets games over the past couple of seasons and wouldn't necessarily say he is bad in the defensive zone but definitely an adventure.
He certainly doesn't get out muscled the way you would think he would but he makes poor decisions when defending at times and isn't great at making the safe play. That said I have watched stretches of play where he is effective in his own zone as well.
At times he is dominant offensively but that usually means he is taking risks and getting away with it. Sometimes those risks fail and you end up with egg on your face. |

Ya LE is a mystery as well but I'm not that worried about him to be honest. I think he will likely put it together for a couple of seasons and be good and that was really all we could of expected.
I still think they need to get him and Bo together, it seems crazy that they still haven't tried it. |

If they play Subban they should put him on the 2nd PP unit. At least give him a chance at doing something interesting. - NorthNuck
I hope they don't play him. |

At the same time, I don't agree with how they have deployed Markstrom this year. I thought it was supposed to be more 1A/1B. - Codes1087
It's not that Markstom is playing poorly, but Miller is playing out of his mind. WD wants to win. |

Its a double edged sword. Play the goalie who is playing better (and on an expiring contract) or play your future proposed number 1 while he still needs to round out his game. |

There are so many goalies right now on the market or who will be on the market next year, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. |

#1 is when he proves he can handle the load.
So far that has not happened.
Still time this year & next. |

That is why I would consider signing Miller 2@5 and trading Markstrom alone or as a package.
Pick up a backup in the offseason |

I agree. I believe that is part of the issue. Willie should be worried about next year, and the following year. I think Willy just wants to focus on the next game and win that game, nothing else. Markstrom, unfortunately, needs games in and needs confidence. Willy wants to continue being the Canucks coach next year. |

That goes against the philosophy of getting younger. |

Bishop, Fleury/Murray, Mason are all starters.
Then there are some debatable starters in Johnson and Elliott, Nilsson, Neuverth and possibly even Darling.
They might not all be available for a trade now but are all going to be UFA's after this season.
