I think Miller would look elsewhere - VANTEL
Well if you pay him 5 or 6 mil Burrows contract coming off covers almost all of it. |

Bishop, Fleury/Murray, Mason are all starters.
Then there are some debatable starters in Johnson and Elliott, Nilsson, Neuverth and possibly even Darling.
They might not all be available for a trade now but are all going to be UFA's after this season. - belcherbd
Operative word was NOW not possibly traded or next year. |

A mock draft site has us drafting this guy. We do need a LW - VANTEL
Would have no problem with drafting him based on that description |

Usually the home bench gets the last change so as much as I like to question WD, I'm not sure that's on him.
Toews is getting a lot of credit for ending up with 4 pts but it was the Kane/Panarin line that was the most dangerous. They could of had 4 in the 1st period alone IMO. - belcherbd
I never usually mind losing to BLackhawks, Toews and Kane are just so good (of course we're the team Toews busts his slump against)....but gd I hate Chelsea dagger. |

If Edler is out for any length of time the next up on the depth chart has got to be Pedan. Subban is behind him and Pedan has not received any NHL ice time this season, it is his turn.
Once Pedan gets recalled leave him here so we don't expose him on waivers, when Larsen is ready waive him if need be.. - Reubenkincade
I wouldn't mind seeing Pedan but I don't think mgmt have faith in him either. They have had opportunities to bring him in but decided to not to. He is a frustrating player to watch in Utica as well. He should be dominant with his size and skating but he makes a lot of bad plays. |

If Pedan gets called up you can not send him down without waivers |

Allen (STL) has been disappointing. WPG has been a mess. PHI has been less than impressive in goaltending. There is ALWAYS a market for a start goalie. - Codes1087
Good points and all the more reason why we prolly resign Miller for 2yrs. |

agreed, I personally would like to see both resigned
Miller 2x6m
Burrows 2x2m
I think their play this year has earned the right to retire with the team.
Burrows is 9th in canucks all time points i believe |

Miller will cover his own contract . I don't see him being paid 6 mil. Maybe 5 |

Again, I think Bishop and Fleury are on the market as well as some of those other guys mentioned.
Pittsburgh needs to move fleury or the lose Murray in the summer. |

There has been ZERO indication that Willie will NOT be with the Canucks next year. - Codes1087
If he wasnt canned after last years sh*t show he sure wont be after this seasons either. Unless perhaps Julien becomes available |

I meant that in a negative way. What Benning and Green have said about his play in the defensive zone is so apparent that even non-hockey people can see it. He is very very weak in his own end. - Codes1087
Maybe he should convert to a winger? |

They didn't fire Capuano in the off season.
Hitchcock is as close as it will ever come to that. Point being you never hear the bullet - VANTEL
So Garf could use him as scapegoat the same old story lose ppl as UFA's sign Ladd to a horrible contract & fire the coach. |

Splitting the duties 50/50 next year and signing Miller to a reasonable contract would be ideal. He is playing great, and Markstrom needs more starts. No one else in our goalie pipeline is ready to play backup yet. - Codes1087
If Marky shows more consistency he will get his starts as of of now he is only a backup til he shows otherwise. Look at Allen in St Louis given the reigns & its not working out so far. |

I just think that if Willie D was going to be fired, they would have done it already. I think since Benning/Linden keep the "we knew this was going to be a slow process and Willie is doing a great job with what he is given" speech, that we will see him at the helm next year regardless of what happens. I hope I am wrong. - Codes1087

exactly, he should have changed that after the 1st. But he doesnt have the right stuff to catch on to stuff like that, which is why he's out coached on a continued basis |

A lot of people like him and think he's been an important part of the community and the franchise. That said, he should retire at the end of this year. I could see him squeezing 1 more season out, but I think it'd be better to retire gracefully. |

If i said once i said it many times....
Split them up so both can be playmakers.
Help the kids score & let everything else take care of itself.
It creates more match up issues for opponents if it clicks. |
