Right? He's a kid. There is no guarantee on how to raise em to make em turn out a certain way (similar to building a SC winning team).
Not everyone is a Toewes, Crosby, McDavid, mature beyond their years type of person.

Is it just me, or has the NHL never ever been able to get this right?

Maybe i never have been who the NHL is marketing towards, but i also didn't know their target market is 12 yr old girls.

Look at the blues goaltending this year though ...

it all depends on how they view their goalie prospects ...bishop could cost a lot Years wise so I dunno if you want to go there ...a 3/4 year deal would be ok by me but he wants longer

if fir whatever reason Miller doesn't sign in van I'd take him on a short deal too ...no trade though

You mentioned that you don't want a local kid, so I am curious to know what is considered local. To me Vancouver, Abbotsford, Surrey are different communities so not sure of distinction.
But hey what do I know I just support my "local" nhl team and I live in Kitimat.
