I dont really know the rules for it either but i think there's a gap between the last game of the finals and the draft itself where trades can be done? I cant see them moving him in season while they lead their division unless its something like Fowler for JVR or along those lines. - Sabresfan-365
See that is where I am not sure. I mean, that would just aid all the other teams (being able to get something for a player) and screwing over Las Vegas. There does seem to be a gap from end of playoffs until draft (if using last years dates, cup on June 12, expansion draft is 18th with results announced on 21st). But I am not sure if the trading window is open there? I am sure we will hear more leading up to trading deadline if they CANNOT trade in that window. |

6'2 200 RW. - thatsapickle
I say take a chance, will be interesting to see what happens. Murray knows the player, so I say there is a better chance we take him due to that. |

Fowler's getting moved unless they somehow find a taker for bieksa. - Sabresfan-365
I think I mentioned this before. If we somehow get a lottery pick, 1,2 or 3, we should trade it to Anaheim for Fowler and Lindholm. Defense problem resolved.
Thank me later! |

That would be something else. Would make the best deadline day show in years. |

You did.in this draft though top pick doesnt scratch the surface of getting a guy like lindholm. |

Murray knows him well, so who knows. So it depends where we are in the order if we take him. - Lilroot9
then again, once you use your claim, it's back down to the bottom...don't know anything about him, but I do know Rochester can use some help and noesen has only played 14 nhl games |

Why would they trade #3 for Fowler when they wouldn't even trade #8 for him last summer? |

It would, so I hope that is the case! (since our team is pretty straight forward as it is) |

This would need to happen before the trade deadline, I believe. (or maybe as soon as they are eliminated from playoffs?) I am not sure if the rules are different this year, due to expansion draft. In the past you could trade after the deadline, but those players traded could not play for their new team for the rest of the season. - Lilroot9
i read that you have to play 5 games with the team that acquired you. |

As stated above (previously), maybe you have never heard of how good Lindolm is. No way the Ducks do that. |

For what? The player must play 5 games with a "new" team for what? To be protected by new team? |

Interesting on the rules of the draft....
" Vegas will be granted a 48 hour window prior to the draft to sign any pending free agent (RFA or UFA, one per team) that was left unprotected. If a team loses a player to Vegas during this signing window they will not have a player selected from their roster during this draft. " |

They also have 3 D-Men coming up in the minors that are doing well. http://mynhltraderumors.c...cks-prospects/2016/08/10/
In other words, they can't pay all these guys. |
