Just went to Ducks Expansion draft and they are forced to protect Bieksa, Kevin (35 years old, ouch!) and if choose the 7-3-1 format, can only protect two of

Fowler, Cam
Vatanen, Sami
Lindholm, Hampus


If they do the 8-1
They have to protect:
Bieksa, Kevin
Kesler, Ryan
Getzlaf, Ryan
Perry, Corey

and then would protect all (3) from above, so that leaves only 1 more player to protect.

Scoreless in last 6, been with Eichel for 13 games. 4G, 1A in that time, had a stretch of 3 games in a row with a goal, Eichel no assists on any of those 3 games in a row though (1 unassisted, 1 from Franson, one from Reinhart/McCabe)

I don't see them taking Moulson at all and the Sabres exposing a defenseman they are leaning on 30 mins a game now, which is not easy to do. I see Moulson being exposed, not taken, Foligno exposed and taken. He has to be re-signed, is slower, they want to get faster, the Sabres have an abundance of younger, more skilled forwards, and some with size.

He's averaged 25 and a half minutes a game (no where near 30) the last 3, and scored a goal.

Does this erase how brutal he was the first 15 games or so to start?

The Buffalo Sabres Road Crew, presented by Delta Air Lines, will make its first “Tour Stop” of the 2016-17 season on Jan. 23 in Nashville, Tennessee prior to the team’s game against the Predators on Jan. 24.

This Tour Stop will take place on the second floor at Tin Roof Broadway (316 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201) on Monday, Jan. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

I went to the one in Columbus two years ago and hung with Ted Nolan and Brian Trottier, amongst others, for brief moments and it was way cool

In the past you could trade after the deadline, but those players traded could not play for their new team for the rest of the season.

I know, I actually like the Lehner deal FOR US (SABRES). So whatever.

I dont really know the rules for it either but i think there's a gap between the last game of the finals and the draft itself where trades can be done? I cant see them moving him in season while they lead their division unless its something like Fowler for JVR or along those lines.
