i just cant see a scenario where theyd let him go for anything except a massive overpayment.

Sami Vatanen was a healthy scratch recently. He's a RHD which we have in spades, but if you had Risto, Vatanen and Bogo down the right, the left fills out nicely

They seem to like the game that Murray was going for, but with speed. Give them fast semi"heavy" guys and make it DollarNeutral for them. Maybe we pull a miracle

They scratched him the other night, he's been awful this year. I would move him if i were them. trade him for a forward and ease theodore and montour in.

They want D + Picks. McCabe and a 1st for Duchene and a 2nd? I wouldnt do the deal but i'm guessing it would have to look something like that

I would offer McCabe, picks and a prospect. That top 6 would be sweeeet.

The issue I think most people have with Moulson isn't that his play is poor, it's just not a good value for what he's being paid.

He's not killing us out there or anything (well, not this year anyway). He's been able to contribute offensively more than we probably expected. He's just not worth what he's getting paid at this point.

Moulson didn't just get off the bus and earn a 5year 5 million $ contract, he earned it through the years, that's how the system works, right, wrong or otherwise and really, the money isn't as hard to take when you still have Eichel, Rhino, McCabe still on entry level deals and 2 years that 5 mill comes off the books and it heads to Eichel. Plus, who knows, maybe Las Vegas takes him off our hands to get to their cap floor.

Murray threw him a bone because they needed some veteran guys and also needed to get to the cap floor at the time.

This is not me saying that Moulson didn't deserve the money at the time, but when you look at the value we currently get from his deal, it's pretty crappy in a lot of ways.
