Here a very interesting fact: after 9/11, with one notable exception (the underwear bomber) ALL of the "terrorism attacks" carried out on American soil, including the Fort Hood attack, Orlando nightclub, San Bernadino, and Ohio State, were carried out by citizens and long term residents of only one nation - the USA. - Der Kaiser

Of course, we don't know what has been stopped before another major tragedy.

Nah, not at all. The poor deserve help.
Those who want to kill us don't...and how do we tell the difference between those who do, and those who don't....proper immigration process, really simple actually.
Now about trading Kane...absolutely if it involves fixing the hole on the top pairing left side. He is our biggest chip to play.

Zo Alexander with a nice pick and lateral in Pro Bowl after Jimmy Graham got a case of the drops. Zo popped Graham a couple plays before causing Jimmy to get his panties in a bunch. What a bum.

Here is the problem with trading for D help now.....
Risto
McCabe
kulikov
bogosian
New D man
Fedun
Can only protect 3.... now I understand the distaste of Kulikov and Bogosian, but from a team value, you can't lose those guys for nothing. Now it has been said that we tried to trade Bogo last year with no takers and Kulikov is a FA, so maybe it would be a good time? Also, certain other teams with lose of D help (Ducks, Wild) may want to get rid of one before losing one for nothing during expansion draft.

I believe Fedun and Kuli are both FA's so we do not need to protect them...and if you make strong overatures to them about the Sabres intentions to sign one or both...hopefully we could have a gentleman's handshake that means something.
I doub they protect Bogo...if he's selected, yes we lose an asset...but we also lose a boat anchor of a contract when comparing his performance. That said, I'd rather LV took Moulson off our hands, but...
Point is that we would be ok there.
Some have pointed that Carrier us the likely LV target...unless we somehow convince them to take Moulson to help get to the floor...wink, wink...nod, nod.

Who we trade at the deadline, and if we trade at the deadline, will depend on where we are in the standings..
..If we are close to a playoff spot I don't see GMTM making too many moves, rather, he lets the team he has compete and see what they are made of - feetontheair22
Well it does take 2 to tango, but if GMTM doesn't take this opportunity to maximize the return on players who won't be in the future plans he should be fired.
This roster is woefully short of what is needed to contend long term and therefore every opportunity to improve simply must be leveraged.

Ok what I meant was I don't see a big splash...not him standing pat completely
Foligno
Kuli
Those are the two I think we see head out....honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see Gionta and Fedun resigned

Sorry if it sounded like I was coming after you, rather "going after Murray" if that was to be his thinking.
I hope he at least dangles the following
Kuli
Bogo
Gorges
Franson
Gionta
Moulson
Girgenson
Ennis
Kane
Some of those are more likely to be moved in the offseason, like Kane, Ennis...
Some won't be moved due to lack of interest, remaining contract like Bogo and Gorges
But I'm hopeful several others are jettisoned.
I don't mind Foligno, especially on the 4th line...I know his contract is more than a typical 4th but he brings necessary grit and can pop in 10-15. Bring back Gionta on a 1 year deal...after you trade him at the TDL to extract as much value.

I think Foligno has been great for us this year. He's been able to help contribute offensively, and he's been the physical presence they need out there. He's been a force all season, whether it's just in the checking game or dropping the gloves. He's done it all.
