if a hedman or oel-type became available, it sure would be tempting - Michael Pachla
No way Hedman becomes available. OEL should have been had by 29 other teams by now. I wouldn't trade Eichel, Risto, ROR, Skunk for him but everyone else is game if OEL becomes an option.

Careful. There are those that will laugh at you. - TheSabresTaco
They can laugh all they want. Bailey will pot you 15+ a year on the bottom 6 at the NHL level. This team is focusing way too hard on it's top-6 and completely ignoring role players for 3rd and 4th lines. |

Larsson sucks. Foligno has been a pleasant suprise. COR should have been centering the 4th line all year. Carrier is trash. Keep Girgensons as a 3rd line center like the plan was all along and for (frank)s sake, get rid of our coach. He shouldn't be getting any passes. |

I agree he is the better get. Not sure if that same package would do it or not though.
I would shoot for the moon and try to get both, but that would be something like
Kane
McCabe
Foligno
Baptiste
Bailey
2017 1st
2017 3rd
2018 2nd
for
Duchene
Landeskog
I would highly consider that. But not sure if that would even be enough to get them... - Lilroot9
The Sabres would be the Oilers of the East.
No blue line what so ever.
Nothing left to trade away to improve the blue line.

if eichel was here, how would those first shoot outs gone? - homiedclown
don't know....may have been a little tough in certain areas...
maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed |

Honestly, all the reports out of Denver said Douche and Landy weren't very fond of ROR when he was there. Why trading for them would be such a good idea is beyond me.
I always said, you can't have too many centers but Duchene is not even close to being a team need right now.
Landeskog would be my main target of the two and I honestly don't know if he would be cheaper or not.
Hard pass on both. |

Four weeks until the deadline and I'm betting on the Chicago game on 2/19 being the one where we decided to sell the farm or not. |

Nothing on Ennis, he doesn't have much value with his contract and injury history but anyone can be moved. |

I'm asking the same question. I wouldn't trade them under any circumstance right now. - BeadyEyedDouche
Let's be honest, this was said numerous times about the prospects we had a few years ago.
Why would we trade Compher...
Why would we trade McNabb..
Why would we trade Pysyk
I know this isn't specific to you, but IMO at this point, we have reached a point where we need to add another high end talent if we want to compete for something legitimate in the near future. At the very least a top-2 D man.
Unfortunately, as the moves Murray has made have shown, the spare parts of our 4th best forward prospect, plus the D man we all want gone + a 2nd won't get it done.
If we want to add a big time player, one of the pieces we don't want gone, will probably end up gone. If not.....we might as well bank on adding another Bogosian to the defense |

I only see Kane as being the piece of value we could move as a package for a #2 defenseman. Now that he's playing well is the time to do it. Bailey, Bap, and Fasching, one of these guys will then hopefully grow into what Kane's role was here, big, fast, not afraid to be a grinder, 20+ goals if played in the top 6. |

I personally think Kane will be traded. But him alone won't land that D man IMO.

Won't land a top pairing guy but might get you the guy to take bogosian's spot on the 2nd pair. |

No he won't, but he would have to be the main piece we have to offer. Realistically, I would talk to Anaheim about Kane, our 1st (lottery protected), and a prospect like Fitzgerald or Borgen. See if that opens talks on Linholm or Vatanen. |
