Hitting isn't grinding. Hitting means you don't have the puck or don't intend to have the puck. ROR and Okposo are both good at getting on top of players and forcing turnovers, or being hard to play against. They don't float.

D-lo is good at hitting and taking himself out of a play. I'd say that's not too hard to play against

We're talking about Bylsma's stated goal to make this a team of "grinders" with this personnel.

And in this 3 minute sportchec video about "the grinders" they talk about stick work for 20 seconds and talk about hitting (especially as a way to turn the puck over) the rest of the time.
