CBC broadcast said it best, his hands haven't caught up with his feet yet. - Sabresfan-365
They haven't yet but I believe they will.
How long has Carrier gotten?
I know, different players.
It'd be a lot of fun seeing Bailey in a no obstruction league. |

Bailey had a terrible turnover trying to bring the puck out up the middle of he ice. They were hemmed in for a while and finally Bailey gained possession and I was like yeahhhhh, then two Sens collapsed on him and I was like nooooooo. All in all, Bailey was noticeable, good speed, but seemed to try things that he might get away with in the AHL, but not the NHL.
Lehner was fantastic last night. So was Eichel, Okposo, Sam and ROR. Kane was awesome. Risto was a bear and so was Foligno. Ottawa has a D Man named Boroweicki (sp?) that was trying to run Eichel all night and Foligno ended up fighting him. Looks like he'll take over for Chris Neil as one of the biggest delta bravos in the division to play against. Oh yeah, I bet nobody realizes this, but Foligno has a bomb of a shot. I bet he could hit 100 mph. - Hatboro_Swords

Out to dinner last night. Kane was sitting at the table next to me and overheard a lot of talk about Carolina. Trade coming? - bigolbig

Jack played incredible last night. Kid could stick handle in a phone booth. Sam showed why he was picked where he was with his creativity and his hands. Foligno showed me why he is on that line last night. He's been playing hard and dropped the gloves when guys were getting a little too free with Jack.
Bailey looked no different than before IMO. Hopefully it clicks for him sooner than later and he isn't Mark Mancari 2.0. - soljor09
I hear what your saying about Foligno protecting Eichel, and that's is valuable...but it can be done in different ways...I.e. Take liberties with Karlson, and Jack could always pull a Phyllis Kassel on the perpetrator.
It seems like he misses at least 1 golden setup from Jack each night...that a lot of production to be missing. |

I'd like to seem him stay, we need guys like what he brings, especially at a reasonable price. He's good teammate on and off the ice, and seems to have finally found his consistency.
Imagine what those teams would pay for Kane now! Difference with home is his cost, plays best below his talent level on the 3rd line, and off-ice issues could be very problematic given his history to date.
Trade value is at its' highest! |

I'm on the record for not loving the Kane trade, he's a good player, but I hated bringing him in with all of his off ice issues.
But, although lots of people here complained about him and wanted him gone, his value was at a all time low at the time, so we couldn't trade him. Now that he's playing well his value is at a high and nobody wants him gone. BUT NOW IS THE TIME TO TRADE KANE!!!
Teams are looking to buy guys like Kane for the playoffs, so they'll overpay. And we don't even know if he's going to ditch us next year when his contact is up. We also have Bailey, Bap, and Fashing who play similar games, big, fast, not afraid to grind, and will be NHLers soon.
If Kane can get us 75% of the way to a legit #2 defenseman than we should send him packing now while we can max out his return. |

Bailey is a really good skater...
so with his physical play, he will at the very least be a quality 4th liner
I have much higher hopes,
But it remains to be seen if he can score goals at the NHL level
He's my favorite prospect we have
I think he's gonna be a good player for us for a long time |

I only see Bailey as playing the same size/speed game that Kane does
Fasching is slower, Baptiste doesn't have the physicality
I happen to like Kane (the player) quite a bit
But I hear ya...
if he can bring back the right defenseman,
then we gotta make that deal
Although, if we can get that defenseman without giving Kane up...
I'm cool with that too |

If that happens I'll be kind of irritated because we passed on players for him because we said he was safe ( I would also like to know those players lol ) |

He's playing great don't get me wrong but people in Buffalo fall in love with players that are a dime a dozen IMO I would also be fine keeping him depending on the contract price
But if a team offered us a second round pick or something of that nature how could you pass? |

The incredible parity in the Eastern Conference has everyone still believing they’re “in it” at this point in the season, and with Buffalo’s injury excuse, perhaps they really are. When healthy (looking at you Jack Eichel), the team can boast enough goal scoring to keep up with any team, and the duo of Robin Lehner and Anders Nilsson has actually provided excellent goaltending (a team .923 save percentage has them third in the league). A healthy top four that includes Rasmus Ristolainen, Bogosian, McCabe and Dmitry Kulikov isn’t perfect, but may be enough to keep them relevant down the stretch.

We'll never get that defenseman without giving up something good. Carrier seems pretty physical, though. If he could start putting the puck in the net, he may also become a Kane-like player. |

I would pass on a second round pick for Foligno. You hope a second rounder develops into a player like Foligno, we shouldn't give him up and start all over on a gamble. He's a good bottom six guy who is a good teammate and loves this city. I know we would never get a 1st for him ( 20-30 range), but at his price that's what I would want. |
