I'm sorry, even if there is a 10% chance of that actually being the case, I'd rather have that than a goalie.

Goaltending is a problem for like 2 or 3 teams a year. And hasn't been our issue in forever.

You're arguing as if we would have took White though. There is absolutely no guarantee we would have done that. I actually think, based on our needs, the chance of us selecting White would have been relatively low. Defense, Goalie, Winger, and Center is what we would have been looking at with pick 21 in my opinion.

I know you don't draft on need, but with it being such a loaded draft, an argument could be made that there was a handful of players graded the same at pick 21.

I think Lehner is probably this teams long term starter if he keeps this level of play + stays healthy. Both can happen, both also "if's" too.

Well, if Lehner is this teams long term starter then maybe one day we'll be getting a 1st round pick in return for trading away Ullmark and Petersen. We paid one for Lehern, Toronto paid one for Anderson. Anaheim keeps developing good young goalies and flipping them for 1st. Maybe we should get in that game too.

You're right, and if we would have kept pick 25, I'd probably have a lot less to say. I just can't believe with all that talent in that draft, we moved 4 picks in the top 2 rounds.

Look at what Aho is already doing at 19, picked in the 2nd round.

We could have been totally stacked for the future from that draft alone

Not much anyone can stop that, but he has a trademark for "Garbage Plate" and he tries to enforce that every chance he gets.
