im not a fan of Bylsma. Last nights game is the reason. You know how NJ plays…..you have to figure out a way to beat that stifling system.
Tonight was awesome….also Bylsma's system.
what to do? Drink moar?
Reed Garth's blogs?
I drank more. - seedy
Last night, I felt we played our game exactly the way we shouldn't have played!
We played right in the hand of the Devils!
That is on Bylsma!

Are we really going to count the OT wins as wins, and the OT losses as not losses?

Isn't that the way Schopp (on WGR55) mentions the wins and losses as well?!
Every time he says that, I wish I could grab him by the neck! |

No.
Because, even when you lose in OT, you still collect 1 point! |

Wow. Just got home and watched the 3rd and O/T on tape delay. Unbelievable victory.
Kane was an absolute beast. Jack and Samson with incredible feeds for goals. Our FA signing Oko scores again. And our future captain ROR starts the comeback. Even Franson made a heck of a play to keep the puck in at the blueline on Kane's 1st goal. And our little captain Gionta keeps on performing at a much higher level than most expected of him this year. What a great feeling! |

Of course, but we lose more than we win.
Tonight was amazing. Incredibly entertaining and a great comeback.
But there is no mystery as to the inconsistencies. We aren't there yet. |

I know less about Brooks (outside of USA-Russia game) but aren't the latter 3 coaches who have more than 500 Ws as head coaches? Bylsma has less than half of all of them, I believe. Also a lot of people forget that Bylsma coached a Stanley Cup winning team for less than half that season.
None of this automatically means Bylsma is a bad coach but I'd say Keenan, Laviolette, and Torts have the advantage of just being winning coaches. So what they say carries weight whether players love it or not. Similar to Belichek in the NFL, winning basically washes away all sins. Byslsma has not done enough winning to wash anything off, as I see it. - Phatjohnsn
I wasn't comparing Bylsma to any of those guys, just saying that I don't care if the players like playing for him, just that they do play for him. |

I give you Buffalo Sabre
Martin NECAS 6'0 170pd - Right Handed Shot, 18yrs/Boosters on Skates/
Czech Speed Phenom!
An offensive generating centreman who creates offensive looks by using his terrific speed to barrel through and deftly set up teammates. Have excellent vision and a nice tempo in his carries where he will dial up his pace and surprise defenders. This playmaker will create separation for himself and change direction keep control, cut back sharply and still be in possession. More of a pass first attacker, who might hold the biscuit a bit too much, but there is lots of upside to him.

Yeah, I'm saying I think that players played for those coaches because they are who they are.
I think we can all agree that the Sabres don't always play hard for Bylsma ... imo, partially because he doesn't command the respect of the guys you brought up.
I think we agree, just different paths getting there. |

Evander Kane's goal gives him 13 even-strength goals since his first of the season (Dec. 3), tying him for the NHL lead during that span.
TM traded for a power- sniper in that deal. Those don't grow on trees. Lock him up!! |

I agree with you there!
I actually kind of respect Lindy Ruff for that.
He had the respect of the players for a long time, the problem was that he had average players playing for him at that time! |

Im fine with locking him up at the same rate he gets now. Hes gonna be on the third line but he does enough by himself to be pretty good there. You want 3 lines that score? Thats your guy. If we expect to get any offense from foligno-girgensons/larsson-whoever, its probably gonna be disappointing. Only problem is we need help on d, its gonna cost, and despite what every other teams knob fans think, he has value. Murray hasnt had any luck finding d in the scratch and dent. Im in no hurry to move him but bringing in d has to be the priority. |

I posted yesterday that Murray won that trade. He just did. Myers/Bogo wash. We got Who We Wanted and after rocky start off ice/injury he has been better than advertised! Nobody wants to fight this dude! Nobody, well maybe that Sasquace McQuaid he's gonna kill sombody, I digress, He is worth Cam Fowler! Ha, sometimes patience bites you in the ass Anaheim doesn't it? Hey look I went old school emoji there!
I wouldn't mind a 4 yr 5.5 contract without no trade clause big up front love from Pegs could get it done. I know Kaner would like the up front bundles for more push ups! |
