Im fine with locking him up at the same rate he gets now. Hes gonna be on the third line but he does enough by himself to be pretty good there. You want 3 lines that score? Thats your guy. If we expect to get any offense from foligno-girgensons/larsson-whoever, its probably gonna be disappointing. Only problem is we need help on d, its gonna cost, and despite what every other teams knob fans think, he has value. Murray hasnt had any luck finding d in the scratch and dent. Im in no hurry to move him but bringing in d has to be the priority. - rover16
I just don't see trading who has been, arguably, our best player over the last two months ever since he has gotten healthy just because we need D. Guhle is a D who will help next year, re-sign Kulikov he is looking better and better now that he is getting healthy. They might have to trade some other assets for a D but not one of their top players, unless they are positive, through him and his agent he won't re-sign here then definitely trade him. But if he will it seems like idiocy to trade a type of player that is hard to find. |

I give you Buffalo Sabre
Martin NECAS 6'0 170pd - Right Handed Shot, 18yrs/Boosters on Skates/
Czech Speed Phenom!
An offensive generating centreman who creates offensive looks by using his terrific speed to barrel through and deftly set up teammates. Have excellent vision and a nice tempo in his carries where he will dial up his pace and surprise defenders. This playmaker will create separation for himself and change direction keep control, cut back sharply and still be in possession. More of a pass first attacker, who might hold the biscuit a bit too much, but there is lots of upside to him.

Are we really going to count the OT wins as wins, and the OT losses as not losses? - sbroads24
They are a (just barely) above .500 team right now. |

U overreact too much
They aren't "inept"
They're INCONSISTENT
Mostly caused by youth & injuries imo |

The only numbers that matter are POINTS and WINS
That argument about what counts as a loss is irrelevant |

Better than a cast. He went in really hard. It looked worse than the ribs. He at least had some time to somewhat brace then. Tonight he just went face/shoulder/arm first at ludicrous speed. |

Just a quick question. When/who was the last young team to go anywhere in the playoffs(at least 6 games into the second round)? And I don't count the post lockout Sabres, because there was a fundamental, albeit short, shift in how the game was played and we were lucky enough to have a stockpile of those types of players. And even if you do that was over 10 years ago. |

We're one of the youngest teams in the league
Idk why ppl don't realize it takes young players years to develop consistency in their games? Doesn't happen overnight

I think it's that instant gratification creeping up in our fan base!
I understand it though, it has been so long since either teams have been even near relevant. |

I honestly don't watch the games that closely to judge, but I'd definitely like the guy to play smarter and not get as many penalties as he seems to. 20 PIM in only 27 games is a bit too undisciplined - but sometehing that he can correct. |

these are the types of games that teach them how to win the NJ type of games. I'm excited for next year. I still hope they sell at the TDL though. there's no reason not to. get some more pieces in place for next year and years after. if we do somehow manage to squeak into the playoffs then that's a bonus. this team is being taken over by jack, sam, and risto and that's exactly what it needs. |
