Turned the game off at 4-1.
Great win, need to play more than 10 minutes a night to win consistently.
I'd keep this Kane. He has been playing lights out. One of the only people that have been consistently scoring. If he is traded they have no person that can score like him currently.
these are the types of games that teach them how to win the NJ type of games. I'm excited for next year. I still hope they sell at the TDL though. there's no reason not to. get some more pieces in place for next year and years after. if we do somehow manage to squeak into the playoffs then that's a bonus. this team is being taken over by jack, sam, and risto and that's exactly what it needs. - Khmylev
I'd like to believe that, but they had those 3 comeback OT games right before the all star break that were similar, and still lost that NJ game.
I do however think games like this are "good" for the team, as I said during that short run, as it causes some team bonding IMO

Last night was awesome to watch
but is it reflective of the way this team has been playing....when is Disco going to learn that letting this team open things up and play north/south is the way we are going to win games
The poopty thing is that games like this one will by him a few more mulligans down the road....

Mght as well be Dallas North. - TheSabresTaco
I have never understood why coaches will try and muffle a high-powered offense (or one geared toward becoming that in the Sabres case) by making them play a "grind it out"/defense first game...
Lehner and Nilsson have been just fine....if we give up a few 3 on 1s or 2 on 1s a game and they stop most of them....we have the fire power to outscore the other team....we did it last night against one of the best teams in the league.

I think Depres' career is over unfortunately - walshyleafsfan
It's very unfortunate. The more I was reading into it the more it sounds like he needs to walk away. Considering the GM was saying it's no longer about hockey but more about living a healthy life.
Hell never win a selke and be good at the corsi in his own end but you look at eichels effort in the defensive end with back checks and stick/body work it's come a very long way in the last year. Edit: still no excuse for the couture goal although Nilsson has gotta stop that

Still need to be sellers at the deadline. - ImThatGuy
Okposo, Moulson, Gionta, and Kane all have scored VERY consistently I feel like.
My gawd is that AMAZING to get to type Moulson, Gionta, and Kane into that sentence.
