Was anyone at the game last night?
Sounded like a playoff-like atmosphere after goal #2. That seemed to pump the team up and keep them playing hard to tie it up.
Maybe it's our (the fans) fault the Sabres suck? This could all just be a bad M. Night Shyamalan sports movie

I understand Kane is playing good but you have to trade him either at the deadline or in the summertime
because we're not going to resign him or he's most likely going to sign with the LA Kings Vancouver Canucks or Las Vegas
If we keep him we could be in a pickle next year if we're in the playoffs that means we're going to keep him and we're going to risk losing him in free agency for nothing |

i agree with this post. I doubt Kane would re-sign in Buffalo so we need to get some strong assets back. Kane is playing lights out right now and he is staying out of the headlines. He would be an incredible asset for any playoff team. Sell high on Kane by March 1. Get that Top 2 D-man.

Do we trade him for a player that is less than him? And then go through 2-3 players thinking they are his replacements ? How much will those cost us in prospects and picks ?

And presume that because a scoring winger is easier to find than a genuine first pair, the trade results in an overall upgrade to the team and someone will slot in to his spot - Nylander, Bailey, Baptiste, Fasching (maybe not as well as him) but that the Overall improvement in the combination of the two positions makes the trade an improvement for the team. |
