That's probably more a reality for the next time we visit Florida when we stay on the Gulf side.

I have family that has a place in Venice, about an hour south of Tampa.

We're trying to stay within an hour drive of where we are staying.

For a price heart attack, to stay at even the base level Disney hotel for 2 nights, a two day all park pass, and a one day pass for Universal, it's going to be roughly $1100 for the two of us, which is INSANE.

So, I lost my job in January, and my Dad passed away Monday (95 years old, God love him!). Mom died last February, and my Wife's Grandmother (96) died on my birthday In Nov.

My wife and I have been itching to move to Sarasota, but didn't to stay around for the elders while they were still with us.
With all the change, we have decided to move to Sarasota and fire-up a business in the Restoration industry...been investigating franchises for the past year in preparation. Looking forward to the next chapter of my life on the Gold Coast!

I know someone who went with his wife and two kids and the went for 10 days.

That had to be a near $7K trip, and it was probably even more than that.

It doesn't scale like that if you have kids. I mean it's still ridiculously expensive, but it's not like as if 4 adults went.

Damn, sorry for your losses.

What do you mean by "restoration"? Cars? Furniture? Art? Houses?

Thanks, it happens to many of us, kind of a relief actually -- company sucked anyway, and Mom and Dad were becoming sickly... so they are in a better place!

Residential, some Commercial property from Water, Fire or Mold damage.
Recession-proof business with great Net Margins, solid growth history and low labor requirements. Scalable business Model ... just will be tight the intitial 12 months.
Wife has to get a job..she is in Sales and has a greT track record...so, hopefully that pans out too.

I pretty much always have a job, but fail to go for it like it sounds like you are. It's scary, but many successful people say if you don't try, you will never learn from failure….or succeed.
So, good luck Ion!

Heading to Florida next week to stay with family of my girlfriends at The Villages.

She suddenly has theme park fever knowing we are only an hour away from Orlando, specifically Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios.

I've received some recommendations already, but if anybody has any from past experience or knowledge shared from others, I'd appreciate it.

After checking prices on everything, I have no idea how families of 4 or more can spend even a few days down there without going completely broke.

AAA is a good idea, or, if you know anyone over 50, AARP provides really steep discounts and makes sense to pay their joining fee just so they can buy you cheaper tickets.

I've been getting AARP fliers, cards, medicare part D info since I was 20 years old. It follows me from address to address. I don't get it. Unless someone's been playing a 12 year trick on me or something...

Well, your logic is spot on, but the math is a little off since I'm the youngest of four kids, and she is the oldest of four ... so she ends up being 7 years younger than me .... depending on your definition of "much younger".

My next one though....

Say hi to my dad down there.

Disney is definitely expensive, ESPECIALLY if only going for a day or two. It becomes more efficient to go there over 4 days I think - the price for days 5+ are like $10/day

I dont know (no crystal ball) if we can be sure Asplund and Nylander are actually going to be locks….and i dont want to insert kids in to the lineup that arent developed enough.
I dont know much about Asplund. We also have Larssons who did a pretty good job centering the 3rd. And in an ideal situation, I'd like to see lots of talented wingers in the top 9 being centered by ROR/Jack/Sam…
I also agree with most about the Oshie/payday situation.
we dont need a bunch of 30 year olds with 7 year contracts.

- seedy

On asplund: Murray said during the WJC that he's close. If we buy out Moulson we're gonna need cheap players for cap purposes.

On Larsson: I figure either he or Girgs will get traded for D help. They're redundant players really.

On oshie: I threw his name out there bc we need shootout help. IDK if some team will really give him a seven year deal but yeah, I wouldn't want any part of that.

I'd be better to try to work something out with Vegas for them to take him as our Expansion draft pick. That 3.8M in 2018-19 will hurt us. Moulson and 2018 2nd for a 3rd.

Bucky on Shredd and Regan this morning nailed something I had been thinking. The Sabres need a player who plays and processes the game at the same speed that Jack Eichel does.

Sure, why not? Ennis, Bogo, Moulson, Gorges is 20 million tied up in wasted money, whatever we have to do in order to recoup some of that should be looked at.
