But do you think it's worth it to give them Larsson or Girgs just to get rid of Moulsons's contract? I think that's a bit much. Moulson is still a serviceable bottom six winger, it's just he's paid too much on a team like ours that is needing the roster spots for ready younger players and needing the cap space. I believe he can still help a team like Vegas, he can still play somewhat, he's a vet that will help out the young players, and he helps them get to the cap floor and only times up the money for two more years. Seems to me, Moulson is a win for them. But, who knows who they will pick from us, so to encourage it I would add a draft pick, maybe a 3rd. - sskkoo1
Yeah, you're right. I'm probably being a little harsh on him, but when we were down in third period Tuesday, he played one shift in the third. Dude is just a boat anchor 5-on-5. Moulson and a third would be a win for me

Yup. Once Eichel came back he stopped getting prime opportunities and he disappeared. He's not the kinda guy who at this stage of his career is going to forge a new path for himself. Why would he?

Agreed. He's not the worst player, it's just where we want to be now and moving forward we can't be having this caliber of player on the roster any longer. He's a Darcy, mediocre--stay the course player, not a player on a team that serious trying to contend.
Okay folks before we jump off the ledge on this Grant thing:
The Sabres liked him enough to keep him, when he wasn't producing they wanted him and Rochester and never expected him to get claimed. So if you squint your eyes and just pretend he never played for Nashville and never got re-claimed by Buffalo, this is just the run of the mill call up.
Kane is not participating in line rushes. Lines are:
Reinhart-ROR-Okposo
Foligno-Eichel-Ennis
Bailey-ERod-Gionta
Deslauriers-Grant-Moulson - yen6d1
Yikes. We won't be able to trail by much in this game and we will need to score on our powerplay chances in order to win. Top two lines going to get a lot of ice time tonight.
Or he's 37 (tomorrow) and there's not much in the tank. - dadeadhead
25 pts in 46 games with $3.5 mil cap hit. Methinks it has to do more with his affinity for nose candy. He would still be an upgrade over Grant. Why not take a chance on him though? It would have been free. Plus Larsson is on LTIR so we must have some cap room.
