Even if there are deals I doubt they will be too exciting if the guys being moved are Burrows, Miller, etc
If they can some how get Edler to waive I think you get a very interesting return. - Mungo
Yup, the Canucks have guys who should be able to garner a decent return in Hansen, Sbisa, Edler, Gudbranson, Tanev and other guys who should be able to get something in Burrows, Granlund, Miller.
It all comes down to Benning's ability to make a move. Every year some GM is able to great great returns for mediocre player like Vermette/Polak last year. Hopefully Benning can make it work.
I think we were in a similar position last year though and we ended up with a lot of disappointment.
I'll be ecstatic if one goes at this point. - belcherbd
Yeah I'm the same way, I'd be high as a kite with a 5th, but 3-4 picks and a couple of prospects is a pipe dream.
Slip FA a mickey at breakfast on TDL day and let Benning do what ever he wants. Either that or FA gets his eyes opened in the last 2 months of this season.
Listen to Ray Ferarro and what he thinks about bringing back Jake too early. He basically said you bring him back too early this time you can ruin his career.
He said his numbers suck on the Comets they would suck on Canucks. Wait until he is 100 % ready

If Benning is going to wait until the trade deadline to make a deal he's already screwed. he needs to act now. It's clearly a seller's market, but that's going to change as more and more teams fall out of the playoff race.

Where on Earth do you get this? It's clearly a buyers market
The poll question on 1040 today, "Do they trade Burrows or do they re-sign Burrows?"

I wouldn't bring him up and expect him to be a saviour.
Just give him a shot if/when there are positions up for grabs (after we trade half the team ).
If he fails to stick, send him back down.
i don't think it would be the end of the world.
I am not being sarcastic. This will be a very challenging year to make trades due to the expansion draft - CanuckDon
yes that's true. It definitely adds an extra wrinkle, but I think a lot of teams will worry about that post season. their main concern is trying to either make the playoffs/win a cup
I just saw a tweet from the radio play by play guy....can't think of his name right now that said he was traveling with the team. Can't fly with a concussion so I assume he is at the very least not concussed. - belcherbd
You can fly depending on severity of symptoms. Larsen went back to Vancouver after being cold cocked for tests. Sven staying is a sign they hope to play him soon.
Given the importance to them of every game on this trip you think he'll get pressed back into service tomorrow? There is no minimum on time out from that kind of injury. If he's got no symptoms is it game time decision?
If they play him. Would like to see new lines only that Sven drop Burr off of Bo and Hansen. Would you like to see this newer speed and drive line?

I heard Pierre LeBrun saying exactly that in an interview the other day.
