He could easily be the next cam barker, guy does not have much NHL time. 16 points in 47 gp is not screaming at me, what happens if he doesn't pan out? You will throw TM under every bus you can.
Theodore seems to be "the new shiny toy" everyone wants - Sabres1523
Kane could easily get in trouble again.
Fact is, Kane has a year left, and with Murray's "They will never be forgotten" quote, I highly doubt he's here long term.

Maybe he can be the next Shea Weber the first name comparison is spot on - mattmoulson
Or you get a guy that plays 20 minutes every night good defensively and can chip in points
That is 22 which that's what he's been doing all year |

No need to make a move for a LHD man now, we can't even win 2 games in a row to worry enough about the playoffs. - SABRES 89
Doesnt have to be at the deadline but to be a playoff team in the future we MUST add a valuable D man and the fact those d men dont hit the FA market it needs to be addressed via draft/ trade. To get a valuable D man via trade we need to trade someone we dont want to trade. |

I think right now with the way he's playing and with the extra year on his contract he has more value
And team usually pay more with that extra year |

I honestly think the obvious choice for the Sabres is to just fold the team and cut the losses before it gets worse.
This team is obviously destined to be so obviously bad forever.
Why would anyone waste more time on a team that is obviously so bad.
Please fold and spare us from the obviously, obvious.
Thanks,

Exactly why if you are selling high on him you get something that you know will be good, might not have the celling younger guys may reach, but a guy like Ekholm is already there no question |

They're like 4 pieces away things will get better the Edmonton Oilers had to deal with a lot of bullpoop and now their team is set for the next 15 years |

Nope, we are obviously destined to always fail.
All of the prospects stink, the current players are obviously worse than the prospects.
Obviously that leads to constant sucking. |

Whether it's now or in the offseason...
we do need to get that LH defenseman
I don't wanna trade Kane,
But what do we do if a team won't take a package of Fasching + Ennis, or Girgensons + Baptiste, etc etc
We will probably have to give up someone we don't want if we wanna get a legit partner for Risto
Might have to be Kane...
if not, then who? |

Im Very negative towards them but once we get rid of all the old ass vets and get a quality player for Jack to play with and some defense things will start lining up for us
Who knows maybe we'll get that player in the draft lottery with Nico |

That would be great... Maybe a Murray to Murray connection for your trade proposal. "We will get you on the next one" type deal. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Yeah, I'd be ok with it
According to Dreger on trades involving their D-Men.
Dreger - teams have been calling Anaheim for defense depth, but teams will have to pay a heavy price for a Fowler or Vatanen.
Dreger - Anaheim will tell teams to make an offer, but the trade will have to include a good player on the first year of his contract.

If it wasn't for the off ice issues nobody would have an issue or, they would complain about his contract. It's a no win on this blog with Kane, people have wanted him gone form the get go. - SABRES 89

U really don't understand that ppl want a guy who's already established?
While Theodore is a really good prospect,
He's still a question mark as to how good he'll actually be
I like Theodore,
But no... he is not enough for Kane
And a 1st in this draft isn't that great
Only way that 1st helps us is if we can trade it for another player
Why not try to give up a good forward prospect on the verge, like Fasching, and see what good defenseman prospect we can get back? |

And ANA has an internal budget so it has to be money in money out. |
