Mine too but unless the FA class is beyond stacked next year id have to think at least one team(vancouver) would give him term.
Wonder if Kane + a 1st gets you that d-man. - Sabresfan-365
believe me, I understand where y'all are coming from when it comes to that d-man we all want...but...the left side is just as weak as defense right now with only one potential top-six player in the system...Kane is far and above the best lw in the organization....losing him would create a huge hole |

how many teams wanted him when he had the off-ice issues over the summer?...don't you think that's in the back of every gm's mind when considering something like that? - Michael Pachla

Simply put, it's night and day with the return of Jack Eichel on November 29th. Prior to that the team was dead last in the league averaging only 1.81 goals/game with the forwards scoring all but one goal. The Sabres started out well enough averaging 2.50 g/gm in October, but through 13 games in November they managed to score over two goals in a game only once pre-Eichel's return and a total of 18 goals overall. Since Eichel's return the Sabres are averaging 2.92 g/gm
That 2.92 number may have changed, but not much
We've scored 15 goals in the 6 games since, so it will have gone down slightly
Going by that,
We'd be 8th currently
https://www.sportingchart...team-goals-per-game/2016/
So, once again...
Your statement was wrong
We are doing just fine at scoring goals - jdfitz77
The Sabres are 24th in goals per game, Brian Gionta is our leader in 5 on 5 pts; you are measuring 6 games as the whole picture of the Sabres offense? WTH? That's a funky way of doing stats and making your argument. |

IDK why anyone is trying to trade Kane, regardless of his stats. At least not this year. You wait until next year, if he's made clear he won't resign, you trade him at the deadline in 2018. Simple. - BeadyEyedDouche
And what happens if we're in the playoffs next year? They certainly aren't going to move him teams usually don't do that |

picks, prospects youngish guys in the nhl/ahl. you can move those assets to land a top 6 winger, the same isnt true of a top 4 d-man. Almost always have to pay a premium. |

NO...
those stats are for SINCE EICHEL CAME BACK
at the time of the blog,
Pach stated we were at 2.92 goals per game with Eichel
There have been 6 games since his Jan30 blog
So I was just pointing out how we are still right about on that pace |

Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News believes the Bills have enough cap space to take on Tony Romo's salary.
That's only if the Bills part with Tyrod Taylor, which would free up $13 million in cap room and cover most of Romo's $14 million salary if the Bills acquired him via trade. Buffalo could have some appeal to Romo with a strong offensive line, elite running game, and legit No. 1 receiver in Sammy Watkins. With that said, the Bills are still an extreme long shot to land Romo.

If we are in the playoffs and can flip him for a younger D, then I'd much rather have the depth on D going into the playoffs. Remember when we had Rory Fitzpatrick that one year? Yeah, no thanks to that again.
