I think people misunderstand the off ice issues with him.

I couldn't care less about a bar fight. I care more about the owner being pissed off it happened while we were hosting the draft. I know for a fact Pegula was fuming about it.

I also care that he turned a whole locker room against him, he also started to do that last year and Gionta almost said as much.

Jill Kelly actually wrote a book, with Jim about a lot of it. How he was always cheating and never around. Not too much about the abuse. And then how he became a born again christian and changed his life. Not sure the name of the book but i know its out there.

He's a piece, but not one you build around. Not like Jack, Risto, Sam(waits for broads) etc. He's the complimentary piece you add once you establish your core. And move in a firesale when you're too close to the cap like the hawks have several times.

I've worked with people who were at weddings he was at, saw him in bars, etc...

One or two stories and I would be like, idk man...

But I've heard DOZENS of stories.

A woman would buy him a shot at the bar, he would scoff at her and throw it in her face and shove her on the ground knowing no dude would want to be known as the guy who knocked out our Star QB during the playoffs...

Not to mention he was always surrounded by what equated to bodyguards back then.

Threw his wife down the stairs when she was prego.

Got hammered at weddings and would grope the bride.
