How does a guy like Boucher get PP time? A guy who was claimed off of waivers and sat half a dozen games or so as a healthy scratch.
Burrows with couple of points in the game and is sitting on the bench. |

I think it is just too late in the season to make a change now that would have any benefit to the team. - Beatle_john
I don't see Julien as an answer. Why the comment. For me the difference on coaching is future development.
Losing still happens so why not play the younger guys more? The vets role should be to help out and mentor. Insulate to lead the team is not needed. More balance should be the norm. Especially since they produce. The older vets can play hard minutes fine. But don't give them all the prime time. |

We lack depth as an organization.
Throwing kids to the wolves is not developing.
I do on the otherhand think WD should play the hotter hand more on a game by game basis. |

1000% blame on the coach. Morning games for a 600 year old goalie do not historically work well.
That and Miller always does a good job in Buffalo... so what... we are going to play him again? - Beatle_john
How often does he play Miller in back to backs? Stop panicking.

Anyone want Trev to call Claude Julien? - Beatle_john
I highly doubt he would sign with Vancouver. Go head and call none the less... he's an elite coach. He is going to have a lot of choices and some pretty good teams.
Truth is, people would be calling for his head when this roster doesn't make the playoffs and needs time more than anything. He was just struggling with a much better team that we have... as soon as Botchford starts his routine on Claude, the same people in here would start up like it's their duty to jump on his wagon.

What kids are left? At this point the younger guys are ready for more. Their play shows it. You know it. Everyone sees it. Only WD won't deviate or adjust his pre-set plans and deployments. |

Other than BO Granlund & i add in Sutter we don't have much to play more.
If the Sedins don't produce & LE cannot find a good fit nothing is left at this time.
WD does not have the greatest talent to work with. |

I think he will fit in with the Panthers just fine. Maybe TB if they fire their coach in desperate move for playoffs. Stars could also come calling now.
Either way he's not a fit for Nucks. They need a smart coach who's adaptable to changing situations and favors playing younger guys over vets. Otherwise screw the rebuild, retool, tansition or whatever this cluster frank club is trying to do. |

Miller was the logical choice after a shutout and a day between games. I'm no Miller fan but I understand why he was the starter.

Granlund played with 2 vets the Sedins
BO 2 vets Burrows & Hansen
What youth left over r u referring to? |

I just think you can't underestimate the stresses of a morning game do to one's prep.
EVen Markstrom would have found it challenging but at his age, may have handled it better. |

He was the safe but not smart choice.
Miller plays better when rested and also in Buffalo. Sabers will be also coming off back to back games so take advantage by playing him on Sunday with TWO days rest. More logical over day used for travel on early game. Really wasn't any rest.
Using Marky who shaved some rust off last game would have been better move. Playing against Bruins back up better for Marky on 1st half of back to backs too.
Miller's play today proved the above would have been smarter to do. But WD is predictable on his logic and went with his winning vet ignoring all other factors.
Now result blows for tomorrow's game cause team is tired and will need Marky who hasn't been played much to try to save them. Wouldn't Miller who did it in Columbus have been better positioned to do that? That's too much logic and smarts for how WD operates. |

That's because you are answering a post about why Julian isn't a good choice for coaching the Nucks. So don't know how what you are saying fits here. |

I don't agree with this at all. Seems like you are trying to fabricate a weak case against playing Miller. He just had a great game coming off a shut out. WD chose him against the better of the two teams on the back to back and Miller doesn't need to sit because he played one game in the previous 5 days... give me a break. You are trying way too hard like you do after every loss. Relax and don't swing that sack of thesauruses at people for trying to calm you down.

You ignore Body Clocks, Bio-Rythems and what about the need for sleep doctors? Are the quacks? The older you get the harder it is to adapt.

I'm fine and calm. I don't care about the loss. Just looking at how things went down. Isn't it fun to discuss and analyze stuff? What are you getting worked up about? If you disagree with the view that's fine. Why try to make it a personal slant? I could come back with zingers as well but respect you. Maybe you are having fun with the shotgun approach and trying to stick on things that aren't there.
Anyway... back to hockey talk....
You yourself noticed Miller's play on those last two goals. He faded towards the end of the game cause it was a quick turnaround from Columbus travel Thursday night. Knowing you have back to backs, it would have been smarter, to allow his great game to continue against Sabers, after resting with all the travel.
Plus you noticed what a great game Miller had on Thursday. Resting and not playing Tuesday, after playing so much in previous games, must have helped don't you think?
Deployment choices has and always will be WD's calling card on failure. Not to mention entertainment. Wouldn't you have preferred to see Marky battle it out tonight and show he was relevant too?
Also forgot to put my emojis in at the top too. It's all taken in good fun on your response as well |
