Sloppy. We had a ton of turnovers. They worked hard and didn't give up. That is about the only thing I like about this team right now. - thundachunk
seems the team leaders have the team pushing harder than earlier in the season. Happy to see that happening. |

I agree. We knew it would be like this but at least they are working hard every game. |

Tied for 28th in the league this morning! 4-6-0 in the last 10.
27th in GF.
20th in GA.
27th in PP.
25th in PK.
It looked sort of in reach to make the playoffs but it really isn't. |

4 games ago the gap wasn't that big. Now its pretty much out of reach. |

Jake Virtanen is 16th in his draft class in NHL scoring. McCann is 11th.
Ben Hutton is 24th in scoring out of the 2012 class.
Sven Baertschi is 20th in his draft class. Markus Granlund 28th. Reid Boucher 37th.
Crazy to see how in every draft we have high hopes for a lot of players. Guys like Boucher, Granlund, Baertschi who have been able to be in the league for 5 years now. Are in the top 40 out of 210 players in their draft class.
Most of us still only consider them to be fringe NHLers or 2nd/3rd liners at best. Everybody including me thinks that 2nd/3rd round picks could be something in a draft but really there not. They are just hopes.

For Vantels sake JB is over at the u18 five nations tournament scouting. Swedes and other europeans. I'm going to go out on a limb but he drafts another Jasek, Forsling unknown in the late rounds of the draft. |

Vancouver Detroit Dallas & Winnipeg all with 54 points, tied for third last, it appears to be a hard fought battle to the bottom....and yet they're only six points out of the last WC spot? Something wrong with the league and its point system! |

The exact reason for that stupid loser point was to make it closer for longer. I hate it at the same time, it's kind of nice to see competition last longer. |

It's false hope though! It's like me being in the state of California so I've got a chance to have sex with Jennifer Aniston... |

Leftcoaster
We need to petition the three point system. I hate the loser point. It feels like getting a trophy for being a loser. At least if they are going to do a loser point they should do it like this.
10 minutes of 3 on 3 hockey, 2 points awarded to the winner. If for some strange reason after 10 minutes of 3 on 3 and no-one scores the game goes to a shootout. The loser of the shootout then gets a point. This would make the loser point very rare.
There would finally be a huge gap between the teams from the top to the bottom.
Its like they are trying to pull the wool over our eyes and make us think that our team is better than they actually are. It is a poor illusion. You can cover $hit with honey but its still $hit. |
