If the Sabres/Leafs can get back to a good, honest rivalry that would be awesome. I am born and raised just outside of Toronto but have always loved the Sabres because my Dad's side is from the Buffalo area. Love to talk smack with all my Leaf friends. Both passionate fan bases have suffered for far too many years. - SabreWest
Excellent Post
I can imagine hockey against the leafs downtown with TO fans walking the streets in May
I would NOT want to be poor in the UK, no (frank)ing thank you. I'm sure it goes without saying but no offense - BeadyEyedDouche
Hey, at least we get healthcare and affordable education. If I'd have been born in the US to a factory worker and a hospital admin who twice had cancer, I'd have never been able to go to school

(Not that I wish the UK upon anybody though ) - lumlums
Well put. My grandmother came over after WWII when she was 18. So I'm only second generation American. My great grandfather actually died of the black lung, no joke.
Supposedly there was a story of my grandmother coming home super early from grade school one morning and her mum was like "What the (frank) you doing home?" and my grandmother, being only an adolescent at the time and laughing said "The school isn't there!".

Apparently it had been bombed over night - BeadyEyedDouche
Yeah, I'm definitely not surprised about that last part. I grew up in the country though, so we were a part where the kids got sent out of the city to be safe during the war.
Not surprised about the black lung either. My grandfather worked down the mines as an electrician (or sparky, if you prefer ) and he was one of the few not to go due to lung cancer/pneumonia/silicosis/asbestosis...
I probably will be by this time tomorrow myself. - BeadyEyedDouche
I honestly have no idea how anybody takes him seriously. However, I'm just a part of the liberal elite (read: educated) now though, so wtf do I know...?
