The fact that he is wearing this hat makes me so happy.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is thrilled we beat the Leafs tonight. I actually got to see the team on their way back home. They looked to be in good spirits. It was great to see. Hopefully they keep it going.

How much different do we feel about the future of our defense if Murray doesn't BLOW that 2nd round?

Imagine if our pipeline had:
McKeown & Dougherty to add to Guhle, Borgen & Martin
Cornel was a bit of a reach & Karabacek was a HORRIBLE pick
Also, Montour was chosen later in the 2nd that draft

And the year before we blew it taking stupid Hurley over Santini

If we had made those picks...
we'd all be really happy about how the future of our defense was shaping up
And we'd potentially be in a position to trade some of that good up & coming defense for a guy who can play NOW

And before anyone says that's all hindsight...
Santini was rated a 1st round defenseman
As was McKeown & Dougherty
Montour was not

And we had taken...
Compher, Hurley, Bailey & Baptiste the year before
And Lemieux with the top pick in that round...

So WHY THE F did we need to REACH on Cornel & Karabacek that round?!

One thing I'm happy about this year is the protection of one another. I'd say the last 4-5 seasons you could hit whoever you want on this lineup with no consequence. I've noticed the guys looking out for each other this year.

Great win from lehner/McCabe and the top line with some eichel magic but in general there's no denying that was an awful game. They played 20 mins and then gave the leafs every chance they could to come back.

Should be interesting end to the season, never really expected leafs to be in the playoff picture so i wont be too upset if they miss.. Two very good future teams buffalo and toronto though (hopefully)

Doesn't look like I can reply to comments, but I'm in the same boat as 365. They should've buried the Leafs 5-1. This stop playing bs is as much on the players as the coach. Does Eichel get tired or something? That line looked unstoppable in the first and nowhere to be found after. Idk, Leafs a team you're trying to catch, division rival, would've been nice to really humiliate them at home. Sabres had the opportunity, good thing for Lehner.

I don't get how thats the perfect road win? It's bylsma's fault for not trying to play a north south game tailored to this teams strengths and yet when this team turtles after 20 minutes it's a perfect road game? Lehner was great. McCabe was great. The top line was great when they had the green light to create. The rest of the game was brutal.
