I have seen a few clips and it is really neat to see how Stecher keeps the guys loose.
The boys are having fun even if they lose they find a way to enjoy themselves.

no He is also officially responsible for neutral zone play.
But JB in a TV interview said Jarvis made changes in several areas including D. And it shows. JB said he did a great job with getting the players to understand the new D system.
Jarvis deserves this credit not WD or lidster. THose guys did ZERO for changes for 2 full seasons so they deserve ZERO credit

glad JB decided to bring in someone who is capable of making these changes

But he can never be a number 1 center. His ceiling is a number 2
- CanuckDon

Oh he can be a number one, on a mediocre team, a great team will obviously have a more talented #1 center for a good 1/2 punch.

That is a bold prediction seeing you don't know who is wingers will be in two years. I am sure they wont be Burrows and Hansen

Bold? It's just common knowledge, great teams have really good centers.

That's just a dig by Scoob. Don't take it seriously. Notice even Chara didn't come near him last game. This game he brushed off Kane took a skate up ice deking and shooting. He gets a lot of room. He should use it more.

maybe its sarcasm...
must be I saw tree taking a few guys out

missed the boston game, I was wondering if there'd be a sizing up between the 2

I agree, he should use the room he gets

Yeah he did good. A few coverage moments with Hutton and turnovers only bad. Like I said above. Notice even Chara didn't come near him last game. This game he brushed off Kane took a skate up ice deking and shooting. He gets a lot of room. He should use it more.

Might not be past TDL. So who does Bo get now in that event? Sven when recovered and Boucher? Skille? Do they bring JV up? Does BB make the cut for next season?

That doesn't make him a great center, I love the kid, but, we'll need him to get a lot better or Benning to draft a kid better than him so we have a great one two punch down the middle.

Looking forward to them drafting a good center this year.

That will take a few years if it's by draft. But both would be good. In the meantime...what say you? Trade? Use and develop players in system?

Well I disagree, in his third year he is the Canucks best player. People were hoping for Dubois anointing him the the new top center.

Sometimes you just have to look under your nose and see what's in front of you. So far Bo has proven he is a number one .

Third year in the NHL and one of the best players at the all star game.

They don't have much in the way of value to trade for really good players, and to be honest, not a lot of good young players get traded these days.

That leaves the draft...

I'm not gonna sit here and put the kid down, I think he's great, I just don't think at this point he's talented enough to be a #1 on a great team. Which was my initial response.

Oh here we go... you got crushed last time you were beating this drum about all the changes being jarvis. You didn't know which coaches were responsible for wich tasks so you pulled this phantom interview out of nowhere...

ya thats impressive.

personally I was never sold on Dubois. He had just recently turned it on in junior but not long enough so show its sustainable. Sometimes linemates can make things happen for you. We havent seen him succeed in different situations.

Horvat on the other hand has succeeded despite different lines and linemates at an nhl level

I want the Canucks to be a great team, I don't want Horvat to be the number one center on a third last place team....that was my point.
