I want the Canucks to be a great team, I don't want Horvat to be the number one center on a third last place team....that was my point. - LeftCoaster

Oh here we go... you got crushed last time you were beating this drum about all the changes being jarvis. You didn't know which coaches were responsible for wich tasks so you pulled this phantom interview out of nowhere...
- boonerbuck
I did NOT get crushed, what the hell? The phantom beating you speak of...that never existed
I DID know which were responsible for what, and you cannot prove otherwise.
I was simply sharing what I'd seen in the TV interview with others here and this is the crap I get from you.
chill bro. |

You're missing the point entirely, my comments were "hand the team over to Horvat", in other words get rid of the Sedins and Burrows. Draft another center and let them grow together. Continue to build.
I don't understand what my comments have to do with hurrying up? They don't suggest anything of the sort. |

I'm not missing the point. There are fans here that the grass is always greener on the other teams.
I think Eichel is one year behind Bo and I hardly seen him out there tonight where bo was very noticeable.
I know this is a bad comparison but Bo has one less goal than McDavid. He has about twenty less assists but he hasn't been playing with Eberle and Maroon either.
I am sure when Bo is playing with Boeser and a top forward his numbers will be much better. |

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of trading him - CanuckDon
his ankle needs an offseason to heal. its going to be a trying year for him. |

What did I miss . You think he could be a center on a mid ranked team. That is not rocket science what you are saying.
You are missing the point I am telling you you are dead wrong. . He is a third year all star .
He is in the shadow of two aging players that an organization is letting bow out gracefully . Once he has top talent on the team and not third liners that are being awarded top line minutes you will see what he can do.
Again for a guy preaching patience you should try taking your own advice. |

We did get two of them for a 2nd and prospect.
If Benning were to seriously consider Tanev to BUF, I'd have to hope he asking for some combination of 1st rounder, Nylander etc.
Kane is nothing put an overpaid, one dimensional stop gap.
Buffalo would be getting the better player, on a better contract... - Whiskey-Tango
good point. |

People forget that when Sedins came here they were labelled as slow and soft. We forget they only peaked in their ninth year. In their third year they were labelled busts and Sisters.
Maybe we should wait for Bo to hit 6 or 7 years before we label him a third line center. So far his numbers are ahead of Hanks in his early years. |

he's looking like a real good #2. But you can't say he won't be a #1. time will tell. all i know is a Horvat, Hisch/Patrick 1/2 would solve our problems at C. |

Bingo. I find it absurd many here limit Bo to 2nd line center. It's a (frank)ing joke |

Jarvis. - Marwood
Jarvis is starting to make a difference with special teams, it's taken long enough though.
Willie has the team fighting to the end every game, regardless of the assumptions that some think that Jarvis has changed the culture, BS, WD is responsible.
But regardless of that, I'm still thinking top 5 pick |

Indeed...I'm not sure if the Canucks played well...or buffalo is alot worse then I thought they were - Bullfrog77
Buffalo sucks but IMO canucks played above themselves, Buffalo has better talent that didn't show tonight |

no He is also officially responsible for neutral zone play.
But JB in a TV interview said Jarvis made changes in several areas including D. And it shows. JB said he did a great job with getting the players to understand the new D system.
Jarvis deserves this credit not WD or lidster. THose guys did ZERO for changes for 2 full seasons so they deserve ZERO credit
glad JB decided to bring in someone who is capable of making these changes - SMBDragon
Is there any chance that you have a link to this interview? I have searched but only come up with Jarvis has special teams. I would like to credit the appropriate people but until there is definitive proof I think WD gets credit for anything not special teams oriented, that's where Jarvis gets credit and criticism, Lidster is defense, Maholtra is faceoffs. |

Well to be fair , in the Boston game during the time out with the goalie pulled the cameras showed Jarvis drawing up the face off play . Willie was standing well back and had no input to the play call that I could see. |

Makita honestly Im really not too sure how to go about finding that kind of stuff. It was something I saw and felt it was interesting. I've tried to recall what network it was that did the interview but I cannot. It was probably not tsn as I havent watched a game on tsn in ages. Likely sportsnet Id say. Maybe someone else on here remembers what network it was on ? It a few months back...maybe november.
remember it was clarified by many on here his official job description is special teams AND neutral zone play. Malhotra is faceoffs, systems integration and helps with PK. |

So who decided to keep Bo and Granlund, the hot hands, off the ice?
I'm still of the opinion, that no matter what happens coaching wise, it's the HC that gets all the credit and blame. WD's responsibility is to control and use all the coaching tools under him. |

WD is to keep his job and win games. He isn't going to try new things. Probably will now but it's too late.
I think that WD will be fired this year. FA wasn't going to pay 3 coaches. Torts 4 year contract will be over this year and WD only have 1 season left. |
