Don't patronize me

Benning draft picks with a real chance, yet no guarantee, to make the NHL are Demko, Juolevi, Boeser and Virtanen. When the veterans leave, hopefully 🙏🏻, they're gonna need a lot more than that to turn this ship around.

The next few (3) drafts are extremely important for the franchise! Drafts are always important but these will set a foundation moving forward for the team.

- LeftCoaster

I agree whole heartedly.

For the record, I only patronize you when you are being a whiny, little biotch.

Eriksson is usually a slow starter with teams. Dorsett with Gaunce on the 4th line. A good center which Chaput hasn't been all that bad as a 4th liner.

Need 2 players to replace the Sedins declining production. Good supporting cast.

So 2-3 more years if JB has good drafts and Van should be back to the playoffs. Never really know.

WD better changes his ways then. If he wants an extension.

- manvanfan

I think Dorsett is probably finished...neck / spinal injury causing numbness for long periods of time. He's risking an awful lot to come back and play again .

to be honest it doesn't matter, winning isn't important right now, building is. Here's where I'm hopeful Benning can do a better job with his higher picks, because it's my opinion they're about to have some good picks for the next few years.

Sure be nice if they got lucky and snuck a star center out of the draft if they don't get a top three pick. As for Horvat, he's great, love the kid, but I'm not sure at this point he's gonna be a star center, he very well may be, but I just don't see it at this point....doesn't mean it won't happen.

I'm sure Vantel will point to him playing in the All-Star game which mandates every team must be represented lol.

And he'll probably continue to point out that he's beating Henrik's early point totals but omitting the fact that Henrik was playing behind Morrison in his prime and the WCE line as well as Linden who was the second line center when Hank was 21.

Henrik averaged 13, 12 & 13 minutes his first three years. Bo has averaged 13, 17 & 17 minutes so far this year and he's playing behind a 37 year old washed up center and an offensively challenged 28 year old center who's had 40 points once in his eight year career. Meaning his opportunities to produce offence are slightly higher.

Just sayin...

- LeftCoaster

Why didn't they send Henrik then ? SJ sent big Joe. You don't see that Bo is our best

I like this new rookie we have.... Borrow? is it? Borrows? Anyway, keep it up kid. (And keep marketing yourself to eastern teams!)

Isn't this the type of player to keep and build around?

I get it more draft picks r nice but this is not a strong draft.
Another 1st or early 2nd is all that seems to matter.
Later picks its all luck & if JB finds ways to unearth real talent.

Never had high hopes for the Habs.
Said for years they bore me & offense is nothing special.

1040 talking about the PP going 31% last 5 games.
Said at seasons start it was a priority & results r finally coming in.

So as reported yesterday the Habs had their top scouts at the game last night. Burr and Chaput two Quebecer's stood out. In a way that's needed for a playoff run. Scrapping it out and producing when not expected. So now with news that Bo and Sutter could be injured JB better be on the phone to press a deal. Sell high.

Here's a scenario. The Eastern Comfernce is crazy competitive with all teams having a legit shot at playoffs and the top ones at Cup. There are not many sellers out West either. Could trade stock be at a all time high at TDL?

If so then, brace for it, Habs needing advantage in bottom six to make difference give up thier first for Burr and Chaput. Having set that market price JB deals Hansen and Megna to Rangers for a 1st. Then Sends Sbisa and Skille to Leafs for a 1st. All done next week during Nucks 5 day break. Seeing writing on wall at TDL Miller and Guance go to Kings for a 1st. JB gets extended in summer for GM feat for trades and drafting 5 first round picks. One top 5. Two mid range. Two in twenties.

Lefty weeps from joy on rebuild through draft. Disappointed no stars at even JT level are to be had. Cheers tear down repeat at next draft. Edler, Tanev and Sutter dealt.

Without more production from the point its all semantics mostly.
Sniping wingers we need & the Sedins r ok just not much else to try.
We need to move D to find more scoring on the wing.
BB will help but we still will be 1 C & PP QB short IMO

In BB & JV lie our hopes but still need more scoring F's in the system.
Somebow get more higher picks & nab Makar & trade some D.

It wasn't rocket science or scouting . The obvious answer is because they have cut back the twins PP time. Everyone in the league knows you want to stop Canucks PP go stand by the other Sedin without the puck
