Oh he is 100% a Dbag, so are 75% of athletes, but the things people are mad at are blown up by the media because he is an athlete. Kinda like 99% of the reasons you hate Trump are all based on media bias. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
Did you read Vic Carruci's article about why he didn't vote for T.O in the Hall of Fame?
Oh my freaking god

His numbers were never great though
never had a season above a .919 save percentage on a good Ducks team besides his first season when he only played in 28 games |

It's a total joke that he didn't get in, in fact he didn't even make it through to the final voting in their process.
That's a freaking joke. |

I get the whole moving something of value to get something of value in return thing.
Here is what I will say in the matter:
Should the Sabres not make the playoffs and somehow end up in the position to draft top 2 then by all means you send Kane plus for that top pairing defensemen.
You would have a forward make up of something line this
Nico Eichel Reinhart
Bailey (who looks pretty solid here) O'Reilly Okposo
Foligno Girgensons Carrier
Moulson Larsson Gionta (re-signed)
But that is the only way I am trading Kane at the moment.
That would leave
Risto Player X in Kane trade
Guhle McCabe
Bogo Falk
Fedun
Lehner
Ullmark
Gorges gets moved at the deadline, Ennis goes to Vegas
But until that happens unless a crazy Kane for OEL comes along type deal you don't move Kane. - Stripes77
Ennis to Vegas
Gorges to a team like Jersey (they seem to acquire Dman similar to him)
Send Moulson down the the AHL
Try to bring in 2 of the 3; Jagr (1 year deal) Williams (1 year deal) Vanek (2 year Deal)
Nylander O'Reilly Okposo
Kane Eichel Jagr
Vanek Reinhart Bailey
Foligno Larsson Girgensons

I'm not sure Nylander is in Buffalo next year...
I don't mind the idea of Vanek back
Jagr isn't leaving Florida though even though that second line has me thinking |

No way Jagr comes here. Ever.
And Vanek? After the way he got ripped on here for so long you think he'd want to come back? Doubtful. |

If they move Gorges, and Ennis goes to Vegas, they would have a lot of cap next year. A big one year deal might sway Jagr. I think he gets 3.5 now. The Sabres would be able to do upwards of 5.5 million. |

I know you might not like this but I think Lehner is turning into a pretty vocal leader, this isn't the first time he has said some statements like this.
I think he is locking up the starters role for the next 3-4 years with every game he plays. - Stripes77

I thought I read Vanek reached out to Buffalo in the offseason, I could be mistaken though. |

After state income tax and dealing with the cold I think Jagr would just stay in South Florida.
He absolutely loves it there, and as long as he is there he is a draw for the Panthers.
I really don't see him coming even if they do pay him $5.5 million it's only on a one year deal.
He is single living the bachelors life at age 44 (he turns 45 in like 2 days) where would you rather be? Miami or Buffalo?

Yup and Murray passed and considering the way Vanek was playing I get why but he has played well this year |

......Buffalo?
I don't know, I wouldn't hate Justin Williams here on a one year deal instead of Jagr. I feel that would give the Sabres a legit top 9. If Nylander isn't ready, Carrier can get some games with O'Reilly and Okposo. I personally think Carrier has looked the best of Bailey, Baptiste and Carrier. |
