Plus Moulson is bad and no one wants that cap hit. - thatsapickle
True and with Jordie only making 1.1M for 3 years that's a tough sell (those type of contracts are tough to give up in the cap era).
Still think I'd do it if Dallas said yes...they're taking the cap dump for the upgrade in goaltender. IMO Lehner > Lehtonen |

Lehtonen is $6 mil tho, even if it is one year shorter than Moulson. Dallas is gonna have to get rid of Lehtonen by next year if they want back into the show |

Eh lot of Lehner-haters out there. I was probably just stating the obvious though, you're right. |

Well, that's great and all taking a flyer on 2 Qbs with a 1st & 2nd.
In the meantime, we have significant holes at WR, RT, LB, S and CB which will cost $$$'s we don't have ... and the result is an aging team the still has no QB, finishes 6-10 and drafts 9th to remain the QB he'll.
Take the medicine, tank and rebuild. - IonSabres
Williams and Davis are WR's not QB's |

Love your picks lol
Kulikov- Pittsburgh Penguins have been a lot of games I think he ends up there
For a 2nd
George's - idk ugh lol
Fossil - hopefully he goes to Montreal for a 3rd
Molasses - wishful thinking lol
Kane - ducks
Marcus foligno - sharks or to play with his brother 2nd round pick - GERBE!!!75PTS
why would we trade Foligno for a 2nd? The chances of getting a player as decent as him in the 2nd is not good, plus that player would be 4 years away. No reason to trade Foligno unless it's from an NHL roster player |

wild
ducks
islanders
jets
canes
spit balling from the list I was sent
wild, ducks and jets have to move a d man before the draft, wild could take a few rentals, esp if sabres kept part of salary - homiedclown

Some people don't understand probability success rates.
This is why I hated the McNabb trade from day one. We gave up 2 2nds along with a player who was NHL ready for prospects drafted in the 3rd and 4th round. As low as the success rate is for 2nd rounders, 3rd and 4th round success is almost non existent in the NHL. |

Devils Advocate: Since we have Bailey, Baptiste, Nylander and Fasching all on the cusp, we need to get rid of someone. Foligno is a good player and I'd personally rather keep him around and export Ennis or let Gio go. However, if Gio was to resign (hypothetical I know), and 2-3 of the above mentioned players were ready we'd have a serious log jam.
If Foligno is the name you come up with to go, what could you realistically get back in return? Defenders are a hot commodity nowadays so you won't get a top4 for him, probably more of a low to mid level bottom pairing guy...we have tons of those.
In the end if we could get a 2nd for him or a decent prospect wouldn't that suffice? Isn't the ideal return but what more can realistically be asked for...he's not getting a 1st. |

I'd rather try to move Foligno with any or all of the mentioned prospects for a better roster player in the offseason. |

I could See Foligno being a person of interest for Anaheim in a package deal. |

Fair. Just not sure that if it was a 1 for 1 that we'd do much better than a 2nd was all. You're right and a number of people have been saying it for a while...we need to trade 2 or 3 assets for 1. Time to cash in. |

Ek wrote this about Therien just yesterday:
On Michel Therrien...
The wolves are circling, and I am not one to report on rumors of firings....so if I am writing about this today you can be sure I am hearing he is perfectly safe in Montreal as of now. I talked to quite a few people about this...
you cant make this crap up. |
