I know, I'm just (frank)ing with you.

Personally I do really like them, but I also think Chicago's home reds are the best followed closely by the Habs, either home or away, they're both great. I don't like the Red Wings though, or the Bruins.

all my friends that like Arizonas original sweaters like them because they look totally different than any other NHL team sweater. there's too much going on for me, but I get it. different can be good.
there is definitely something to be said for teams that havent changed much when it comes to their logo/sweaters for close to 100 years.
Thats what kinda bums me out about the sabres red/black goat head stuff. It shows impatience to renew themselves verses just putting a good team on the ice in its traditional colors and making those colors great again.
Theres a little part of me that thinks its sad that the Drury/Briere era didnt happen in blue and gold.

Gah, I see it now, though to be fair it took Kane til late last week to beat Myers' total.

I hate that home colors are dark now...what would be "cool" would be if your home/away jersey depended on the time of the season. After a designated "halfway" point, switch. Gives your home fans some variety/change in both the home team as well as visitors.

thats a good idea.

But Myers is this elite defensemen, who is going to be unfairly selected by Las Vegas when the Jets expose him.

I'm with you and Chilliard, I like those Coyotes jerseys - though not the green one. Also agree on your others you posted here, but disagree on Boston - their old home whites are nice.

Stafford scored 21 and had 38 points in 78 games and was a minus-23
kane scored 20 goals and had 35 goals in 65 games and was a minus-14

statistically speaking kane was better than staff...he was better with the eye test as well and that gap grew even wider this season

tyler myers had a good season last year

- Michael Pachla

Anything Stafford has done this year or last should have no impact on how the trade is viewed. The Jets signed him as a UFA. We were not going to sign him and now the Jets are paying him $4.35m for his 4 goals he has this year.

And Kane is Alex Ovechkin all of the sudden.

I hope that trade turns into a win for us, but I severely doubt it considering the only good thing we got has a year left on his deal, and the other team got the futures

Yes the season ticket holders are affected the most. They always see their home team's jersey, and the visitors are always white. Being reversed you get the variety when playing at home.

New arena, new jersey, new era. I wouldn't mind if the Sabres went to the black goat head for a 3rd jersey when they come back. I think every third was a non-white. But maybe Adidas will do something different.

Sort of a trick question, since it's almost identical - 110-108 (Kane).

Pretty interesting though considering he was acquired and known to be injured the rest of the year, yet Myers has missed more time even with that having been a known at the time of the trade.

- stashu

I thought it was like 5 games, but yeah either way pretty close, but Myers hasn't played since like November 5th, so that helped Kane catch up.

He's 161st in the NHL in points
Tied for 44th in goals while shooting at a % he hasn't come remotely close to in 5 years.

I mean, we should probably start chanting "MVP" whenever he has the puck at this point

Edit- I do think Kane is playing really well, but just a little perspective. He's not even our 1st or 2nd best winger

I know a lot of people who feel the same way, but I have to be honest, it never bothered me one iota. The NFL has been doing that forever and is just fine (granted, I know teams like Dallas, Miami, and Washington often buck that trend).

He's also shooting less. He's not taking those "gain the zone, fire it on net" shots anymore, at least not nearly as much. Also, when was the last time he took a shot and it ended up behind the Sabres net? I can't remember as opposed to at least twice a game last year. I think coaching is finally getting to him. "More is not always better." It's not like he's shooting 25% either. He's still shooting lower than most "scorers".

I personally could not care any less. I watch the games on the internet. But if I was a season ticket holder I'd be a little miffed.

Yeah he's playing well. I severely doubt after 7 years in the league he found Jesus and decided he was going to play smarter and shoot less. He is what he is. A solid player that's totally replaceable if they can land a D man for him.

Yes, but all of the analytics say he is a top 20 player in the NHL.

But those "futures" might not end up being anything more than 3rd liners
I'm still totally ok with that trade
Especially if Bogosian can freaking stay healthy
Yeah, I know that's unlikely at this point
But when he's 100% he's been a nice player for us
When playing hurt, he's not been anywhere close to the same player
Regardless...
we definitely got the best "piece" in the deal
So it's probably a "Win" for us in the end

I hated the goat head
One of my least fav jerseys I'd ever seen
The colors were the worst
But even if u did a Blue & Gold goat head,
I still wouldn't like it

I grew up with the goat heads I loved those jersey

I'm hoping someday they do a third jersey with that but with no pit stains

11.6 isn't some outrageous percentage though
He's taking less shots this year than he has in the past
And it seems like he isn't taking wild shots where he's missing the net nearly as much as he had in the past
I don't watch all the games super close,
But it seems like his shot selection has been smarter
And that could be a big reason for the shooting percentage going up

Also,
For as good as his shot is...
the past few seasons of his shooting percentage were disappointing
I think he should be around 10%
That would put him at 15.5 goals for this season
And on pace for 28 goals over an 82 game season
That seams about right to me
