No more Swedes - VANTEL
I don't even care about that but to believe because one player was taken 16th in a draft and believe that there is no such things as a weak draft.
He would be currently 7th in the 2009 draft in scoring.
8th in 2008
13th in 2007.
He's 5th in what was a good draft in 2010. |

You might be putting to much stock into the games and points. JB isn't cleaning house. Nor will he sell just to get something at TDL. - Nuck4U
TDL is in two weeks. This will be two in a row. Next will be three... I don't think it will/should take too many more to make them realize. Of course it depends which other teams win/Lose. Dallas is poopting the bed again tonight |

How was it stupid? Also, an insult from you is like an insult from Trump: you know they've got nothing else to say. - neem55
Because a single player in a draft doesn't make it a strong draft. A draft has 210 or so players drafted. He has passed 11 other players taken in front of him. He has also passed 400 plus players from the previous 2 years. |

Tank Markstrom!!! - boonerbuck
Looking like the Boston game. The Nucks won't get saved by goaltending. They just have to keep scoring 4-3 nice tip Sutter
Funny how two players can make a difference in scoring... like the Pens game. |

Say JB is trading Hansen he can listen to TDL offers or pass n wait til the offseason to get fair value. With a 1yr/2.5m contract thats an easy fit under the cap next season for any team prolly. If anything a D traded at least at the TDL would be optimimum. - Nighthawk
The problem with waiting til the summer is the expansion draft. Leave him exposed to protect Granlund/Bart or pick one of those two to leave exposed to protect Hansen so you can trade him?
The summer window will be tiny and not from a position of strength if GM's know Benning doesn't want to lose one of Hansen/Bart/Granlund to expansion draft. I personally think the interest would be higher if a team had Hansen for this season's playoffs on top of next season.

It was a good draft, but at the time there was a huge drop off after Taylor/Tyler (hence Johansen jumping up despite being not in the top 10 on many draft boards). Tarrsenko, like many of the first rounders this year, was an overlooked prospect with absolutely zero hype- hence my comparison. He is also leading all forwards from that draft year in points this season.
So don't say (frank)ing stupid things, tough guy behind your laptop.

Can trade anytime they like...no window to worry about...trade deadline is just for getting players onto playoff rosters...trades can still go down...GMs can agree to deals behind the scenes and complete them at another time etc etc etc....still months to go till the end of the season. |

So what you are saying is that some drafts are better then others, which would means that there are drafts that are weaker then others? |

My point is that losing won't make a difference. JB won't realize anything about making trades by TDL unless he gets a certain value. He won't sell just to move out a player. He could just as easily stand pat no matter how out of it they are. |

There is little activity going on behind the scenes for depth players to be traded months down the road after the TDL and through the playoffs. Once the playoffs are off the table, Hansen isnt very attractive in the summer in the days leading up to the Expansion Draft.

Yes all true. Also JB can make a deal to have Vegas stay away from Hansen if they keep him and exposed.
But like I said to you this game is like the Boston game. Nucks need to score. So what do they do last minute or so of game. Sit Granlund and Bo again. Two shooters. While even playing Sutter who can't now cause of wrist. How that makes sense I don't know when they even kept him off the PP for Megna. |

If you can pick the right players, all the drafts would technically be the same. Mind blown. |

def outclassed in pitts and st louis. The play in StL was good though, we were still in it.
regardless, if we miss playoffs again We'd have to assume the HC will get canned. Not many survive back to back missing of playoffs
that should be the next poll, does the HC get canned this off season |
