Bailey is done developing imo. It's time for him to stay. Speed, size, toughness and agility are all NHL caliber. Scoring touch isnt quite there but he's done it at the AHL level so he can do it. Even if this is his ceiling (which I doubt), he's a really good fourth liner now - jcragcrumple

Erod is so much more exciting than Grant and I don't think anyone would dispute that. What bothers me is that Bylsma would probably prefer the boring, play it safe approach of Grant over Erod. I will always take mistakes and entertaining over boring and safe. Isn't this supposed to be entertainment? When did we get to the point where doing nothing is preferable to generating excitement in the building? Want the fans to get excited? Play Bailey with Baptiste and ERod. I guarantee fans wouldn't boo at the end of a period of we were losing, because those three guys would actually be giving fans their money's worth. Watching Grant play is demoralizing to the arena. Let the young guys play and watch the building go nuts and the players feed off that |

On a positive note Baileys speed adds a very nice element to our game we have needed all year. Send Grant back down, he has no place in the NHL. - lulags
Rodriguez or whatever is way better than grant |

Bailey and EROD have been very impressive. If you combined the two, you would have a stud: This is why.
Bailey has all the size, speed & moves in the world, but at this point lacks that scoring touch. He's young and it certainly can develop. If so lookout.
Erod has average size, good speed and a huge hockey IQ. Average skills but serious smarts.
I think these two are mainstays along will Carrier, who is a lot like Bailey in that he has to develop a scoring touch. Guhle is the 4th young kid who will make the team. Faeshing, I'm a little down on this year, though he'd make a big jump, but has regressed if anything. Nylander will probably get a look, but probably needs another year to mature (it took his brother 2 years to make it too). Peterson is the wildcard, I certainly hope we sign him. - turbo044
if erod had a touch more touch he would have had that tap in last night for his first goal |

If he had a touch more touch, he probably would have been drafted instead of signed as a college free agent. |

Leaving Nashville now, headed back to the west coast. Great city for those Sabre fans who live here.
Looking forward to watching the Sabres nip the Blue 3 - 2 tomorrow in the afternoon. |

Ultimately a good message, but just so sad. Tough that certain people carry this stuff around with them everywhere, sometimes unbeknownst to anyone. |

4th line next year
Carrier/E-Rod/Fasching/Foligno - sbroads24
I think Carrier is gonna get picked by Vegas
They have to choose 30 players,
so they will need to choose 7 guys they can send to the AHL
Since their other choices from us are likely to be Moulson or Gorges,
makes sense that they'd go that route with us
Rodrigues just started playing center
While he has looked good for us, I don't think he's jumped ahead of Larsson & Girgs, and he could probably use more time at center in Rochester before he comes up here for good
I expect him to be one of the 1st call-ups next year though
Fasching also needs more time in the AHL
Let him play the top line down there & continue to work on his skating
I think Bailey will be up here
Baptiste has a decent chance depending on if we trade any forwards, bring any other forwards in, & possibly re-sign Gionta
Nylander might start the year in Rochester too
His brother needed more than a year in the AHL,
and he seems like he's still adjusting to the Pro game
Looks like he may need more time as well
Asplund is probably at least another year away from full-time here as well
Hoping we can at least get him in Rochester though so he can be called-up |

My brother is 6'2" and runs the 400 in 53 seconds.....I'm 5'9" and run the 400 in 1 min 10 seconds..........point is...Our Nylander may not be the same as THEIR Nylander
Lets hope he's better! |

True...
but similar size & style players
Also, like I said, our guy has been struggling this year to a degree
Our Nylander may end up being better than his brother,
But that doesn't mean we have to get him here faster
If he's not ready, let him play in Rochester again next year
No point in rushing him |
