When the big money came into it.
There was no money in the '70s and '80s and it was the best era the NHL has seen. But then the 90's rolled around and guys were starting to make millions of dollars a year. And it was all downhill from there aside from a few years after the '04 lockout. - Wetbandit1
I liked hockey better when it was considered a "second tier" sport as well.
Frankly, I blame Bettman for coming from Basketball and telling the NHL owners he could turn the NHL in to the NBA on ice.
He's made the owners dumpturcks of money, but it has seriously changed the game. And in some ways, for the better.
Not a bad top 5 compared to other teams and with considering Justin Bailey emerging and becoming an impact player for the Sabres - Flynox

Yo-Ki Watch....it's a trippier version of Pokemon. Last episode we watched had a character shaped like a butt that caused folks to fart, and another that caused kids to spend all their money on stupid stuff because trickle-down economics is good for everyone......I'm not making this up.
