Thank you Carol. Even though I want the draft choice a good effort tonight and a win would be good. |

You can do both . You can do skill first round and in the second in the second grab the big Finn Dman Rasanen
I meant skilled size. Sorry but I doubt your fav guy makes in into the second round. Maybe with 3rd round pick. He's ranked pretty low right now. |

Sadly this could be the case. I really expected Marky to step up this year and I get the fact his playing time has been down, but it doesn't appear he is 'our guy' going forward into Demko. |

Players with expiring contracts will be traded. No need to protect them and lose them for nothing for teams acquiring them.
Players like Sbisa and Hansen might be better to keep around until after the expansion draft. Teams will be more then happy to pay a little extra for a player they just lost in the expansion draft. May need to take back a bad contract or a lesser player that needs to be protect that we can leave unprotected. Just ask a bit more in the trade.
To Pen's I'd go Hutton and Hansen for Hagelin, Sprong, 1st.

You are far better off having Miller leading into demko than marky
He's a better goalie
Better for demko as well |

I think Miller is a better goalie then Marky right now. I just wonder what if Marky could find some form if he could play on a more regular basis. |

I doubt Rutherford goes for that one ...they would rather hagelin over Hansen so your asking sprong and a first for Hutton ?

I think marky is a good goalie but at this point he has not broken through ...there comes a point where he is what he is .. if I'm demko I'd rather have Miller to bounce questions off of and learn a few things ...plus you know your going to be the guy eventually

Hagelin 19 points in 52 games. 4 million for 2 more years.
Hansen 12 points in 25 games. 2.5 million for 1 more year.
Hansen is 2 years older.
Trade deadline deals aren't always equal. 1.5 less in salary for next season. A reasonable 2.8 for Hutton. Hansen's contract also expires earlier.
If Pitt makes final 4 the 1st will be 27-31. Not exactly a high pick. |
